Addison Harper is abruptly summoned to Milverton at the behest of an abrasive lawyer. He plans to be in and out, back to the city lickety-split. Instead, he finds himself charmed by the small town with its delightful and eccentric residents, not to mention the rather easy-on-the-eye Sergeant Jake Murphy.

an enjoyable tale I chose to sleep to. this is a high compliment from me as it was perfect for this & I'll be listening again. the narrator was spot on . if you choose stories to sleep to pick this & you're return to it to fill in the gaps. those who know will understand this high compliment

A delightful story set in New Zealand. Really enjoyed it, and breezed through it. The narrator is top of the class. He made it even more enjoyable.

A cozy mystery set in a small town where everybody knows everybody’s business. I enjoyed how we, the reader, get to tag along with Addison.
The characters are fun and very much “small town” folk. A ginger cat who epitomises the sassy nature of the ginger cat. Murder, a blossoming romance, and the townsfolk’s genuine community spirit will leave your cockles warmed. A fun read (actually listen because I got the audiobook version).

Bought this as GB Ralph has written some excellent books and I am pleased to say he can do murder mysteries too. Engaging, witty and romps along at a great pace. Looking forward to the next in the series and more fabulous narration too.
