This is the first of this series that disappointed me a little, almost seemed as if the author was trying too hard.

Not the best.

As always these adventures are fascinating and I really enjoy the history and mystery of them. The narrator continues to be worthy of 5 stars, but this time there were far too many characters and plot threads to keep track of!

I have not enjoyed this book, I usually enjoy the series but it is not up to the standard of of the other books

I was such a fan of the earlier Museum Detectives books but this one was disappointing, as it mostly centered around the difficult political situation in Italy.

Also, listening to this reader is becoming a struggle: I didn’t like his performance in the previous book (Murder at the Louvre), and in this one his voice was just too annoying.

I do like the author, I will keep listening to his other books, just not to the series about the Museum Detectives. He
