I really enjoyed the book, I even enjoyed the American parts of the narration she was very engaging, but my goodness the Irish accent was really bad.

the mystery story is fun and engaging, the accents a travesty, apart from the american characters everyone has the same accent, be it if they are from ireland wales or london.

This American writer has either only had a fleeting visit to Ireland or not researched Irish life. So many inaccuracies and the narration is the most dreadful accents I have heard. Wanted to give up after a couple of chapters but hoped it would get better, it didn’t. Don’t write about other countries if you really have no knowledge of them.

The characters and the story kept me interested and engaged all the way through. I could fully imagine the beautiful Irish scenery, the castle - or the house with a turret and if course the beautiful Irish Setter Bilarney, clever dog!
Highly recommend this book if you want an easy to listen to book with a mystery. Looking forward to book 2, although I am hoping that the Irish accent improves, but who am I to criticise, I couldn't do a good Irish accent for toffees, sorry taffy!
