A Treasure Cove... Treasure

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Ms. Potts does it again! Amateur sleuth Sabrina and detective husband David are again on the lookout to discover the murderer of one of Sabrina's closest friends. Even harder is the possibility that his wife, also a good friend of the couple, might be the murderer.
With the usual twists and turns that characterize this author's cozy mysteries series, the interesting plot unravels clue after clue and is successfully solved thanks to the indefatigable search for the truth this husband and wife team is so good at.
The narrator does again an excellent job on the interpretation of the various characters. Absolutely outstanding all around!

Another murder solved.

Another good story by Meredith Potts. I love this series. It is fun, clean story about tracking down a murderer. It is a small town, Treasure Cove, but they have their share of murders. Sabrina and her detective husband, David work great together tracking down suspects and they hold nothing back when doing interrogations. i do not want to be on their bad side. Love these characters. This book was about looking for the murder of Wally and old friend of Sabrina's. His wife is one of the suspects among others. Who will it be? Look forward to the next story. Carrie Burgess does a great job as the narrator.

Quick Cozy Mystery

I feel like the story could have probably been fleshed out more and we could have gotten to know the characters better. I would have liked as much description on their background as we received for most of the meals that occurred in the book. This was the first book I read in the series so some things that may have been addressed in previous books were not completely apparent to me, especially in the beginning. For example, in the beginning I only really knew Sabrina was an official investigator because of the summary of the novel; later on there are details that clearly indicate that she is, but initially I was a little lost. Also, I kind of felt like the dialogue was forced to push the progression of the plot. I'm not sure if this feeling of forced dialogue stems from the writing or narration, but the thought occurred to me more than once.

Overall, I thought this was a very cute quick listen, and is thus why I am more than willing to look over some of the faults in the writing. I actually was surprised by the ending. I was convinced it was going to be once suspect but it turned out entirely different than I expected. The author quickly sets up the case and nicely wraps it up just as fast. Its over before you know it.

I thought the narrator did an excellent job on this performance.

So much in such a short story.

As usual Meredith stories are joyful and leaves you with a taste of more.
I took 2 stars off because of two reasons:
1) Too much explanations making it feels like a book for children.
2)Sum illegal parts in the story, like when you find a body in your house you have to call 911 not your friend which is a police man, in fact the first thing that he would have said is hang up and call 911.
And a police man is not a taxi driver it’s illegal for him to drive anyone to a crime seen.
And that the short list of the wrong in this story.
On the other hand it’s a story and a fun one at that, I sure have enjoyed it and I do recommend this book for people who like lite reading and fun books.
Carrie Burgess narration is perfect as usual.

Even so that I got this audiobook for free I believe that my review is honest.

DARN AWESOME COZY!

I stumbled across Meredith's audiobooks and boy am I glad I did :)

Her stories are witty, funny, engaging and full of thrills and sometimes even chills ;)

These are great for a commute to/from work, an airplane of bus ride, or sitting in front of the fire on a chilly evening with a glass of succulent, red wine.

Definitely a fun series, and this installment is just another great one! Enjoy it! :)

Sabrina solves a cozy mystery

This is the first book I've listened to by Meredith Potts. I liked the setting of the small town of Treasure Cove, and the joint murder investigation by Sabrina and her husband. For a small town, there are a lot of good places to eat and quite a few suspects! It was a quick, fun listen that made me smile.

Carrie Burgess does a good job with her narration and plays the part of Sabrina well.

I look forward to reading other books in this series and getting to know the cast of characters that live in Treasure Cove.

Another Murder Case for Sabrina

When an old friend turns up dead and his wife is a suspect, Sabrina and her hubby are on the case. An interesting who-dun-it that will keep you guessing without too much blood and violence. Return appearances by many of the series earlier villains.
