I struggled getting through the book. Story was good but I did wonder if it was badly written or badly narrated. I came to the opinion it was bad narration. Shame, because it let the story down.

This book was poorly written, the dialogue did not ring true to 1927, there were too many one dimensional characters, and no great plot.
Also not well narrated, the reader’s voice was flat and did not differentiate characters well. I gave up on it!
