About this listen

With London’s streets deserted, a young flower girl is murdered. But why was she out so late on the foggiest night of the year?

The inspector has no where to even begin looking for a suspect. However Mrs. Jeffries, his housekeeper, is even more accomplished at detection than she is at household management.

This charming series of Victorian murder mysteries features mild-mannered Inspector Witherspoon of Scotland Yard and, more importantly, Mrs Jeffries, his housekeeper.

A policeman's widow herself, her quick wits allow her to nudge the Inspector in the right direction to solve the crime.

I have enjoyed the Mrs Jefferies Series. I enjoyed this story. the only thing I am beginning to get frustrated with after hearing the first chapter of the next book at the end of the series is that yet another character (Lady Cannonberry) is let into the secret and I think the whole plot could get implausible.

Great Series

Within 5 minutes my teeth were on edge because of the awful high pitched voices. It's like the narrator went on YouTube to find examples of cockney and deep south accents. Hideous.

I persevered for a couple of hours but all the servants' in-fighting was so tedious I gave up.

Will return this one for sure.

Screech, annoying narration & too much boring rubbish about squabbling servants
