About this listen
I should have run the other way.
Paid my tab and gone back to my room. But he was there. And he was…everything. I figured, what’s the harm in letting passion rule my decisions for one night? So what if he looks like the Devil in a suit? I’d be leaving in the morning, flying home to my pleasant but predictable life. I’d never see him again.
Except I do. In the last place I expected. And now everything I’ve worked so hard for is in jeopardy.
We can’t stop what we’ve started, but this is bigger than the two of us.
And when his past comes back to haunt him, love might not be enough to save me.

Both of the MCs are likeable people but then so are almost all of the other characters with the exception of the main antagonist and one of Sasha’s co-workers. Even bodyguards have personalities which seem to have been carefully thought through. That same thought has clearly gone into the resolution of potential problems between people like Vincent's mother and young daughter and Sasha.
The narration is excellent and both Ms Sparks and Mr Snow adopt exactly the types of voices which suit not just the MCs but other characters within the tale too. The pacing, emphasis and emotion are all perfectly pitched and it made for such an easy listening experience that I devoured it in one mammoth session, not losing interest or focus once. That's unusual for a book of this length so all credit to Ms Tilly and both narrators for such a quality piece of work. Production values are similarly high without any of the usual glitches about sound quality or volume and none of the editing errors which can cut words off the end of chapters in other books.
This was reduced in a sale when I bought it. Given how much I’ve enjoyed it, I’d have been happy to use a full credit on it and will be buying the next one in the series (which I’m guessing will be Angelo’s). It's gone into my favourites list and into another I keep of books to which I intend to listen again.
Thoroughly enjoyable, saucily sinful romp.
