Summary

It should be the most shocking news I’d ever gotten - my boyfriend is getting married.

Okay, technically he’s my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily-ever-after.

On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen.

But not today.

Because not only is my boyfriend getting married - his bride is my best friend.

And they’ve sent me an invitation.

There’s no way I’m going to attend. I don’t care if it’s in beautiful Scotland.

Nothing and no one could convince me.

Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.

Not even when he shoots me a wickedly, sexy smile.

But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime - a dream come true. How can I say no?

But I have one condition: He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

I'm about to find out that faking it can be a whole lot of fun.

AN UNSTOPPABLE 5 ⭐️ HEARTWARMING ROMANCE

A really.. really.. reeeeeally enjoyable and very entertaining ‘fake relationship’ romance that took its sweet time to build, blossom and grow into a forever love between two truly loveable characters. Their heartwarming journey started out as a deal between two desperate damaged people who each want very different things from their bargain.. but Louise gently takes Stella and Beck on a beautiful path of self-discovery, awakening desires, realizations and true love. There’s great banter, humor, sizzles, sex, sweet sentiments, excellent dual POV British narration and a HEA ending.. which equals a swoonfest of delectable feels.

Worth a credit? Definitely.. and I’m hoping LB will give Beck’s friends their own HEA endings too.

Pretty Good

I enjoyed this book over all. It wasn't something that made me keep thinking about it after I was through with it but it was an easy listen without very much drama. I liked the characters well enough they just didn't really stand out as being anything great. The story was good but it wasn't great. Over all It's worth a listen if you want any easy to listen to story with little drama.

Perfect Narration for a Perfect Story

Stella and Beck's story really hit all of my emotions. Stella is the kind of person who gives so much to others that she loses sight of what she truly wants. Losing Matt which caused Beck to come storming into her life was the best thing that could have happened to her. This story gave me every feeling and I fell head over heals for this couple and became extremely protective of them and the devils that are Matt and Karen. This was a fantastic read and I loved every minute of it. The storytelling is spot on and the story pulled at my heartstrings. Great read.

These narrators were so perfect for Beck and Stella. They really did an amazing job with the narration and the story. I felt everything through them. And those accents! Loved it! Well done!

Beautiful Story!

I loved it! Stella and Beck's fake relationship story is beautiful. Stella is a lovely woman, caring, and strong! Her story is heartbreaking. Beck is handsome, caring, protective, and supportive. They are great together, they care for each other, and they share a sizzling chemistry. I loved every word of this story. Shane East and Saskia Maarleveld did an amazing reading of this story.

Shane is is my everything!

Two things.
If Shane East narrates it, I want to hear it.
If Louise Bay writes it, I want to read it.
And if Saskia Maarleveld wants in on the action, well, who am I to tell her no?

Okay, so that was three things, but I think I make my point.
This is a book you want.
It's a book you need.

And it's such a fun ride. Get ready, you'll be wanting this man as your plus one too!

Absolution

Beck and Stella are on a collision course in life. Beck is struggling to find a means to close his dark childhood by purchasing a building that connects him with his past. Unfortunately, he can't connect with man that holds his fate. Stella is trying to heal wounds from a relationship that's ended but won't relinquish its hold on her.

When Beck unexpectedly finds Stella as his way in, he offers her redemption and salvation. But in Stella he finds a woman so opposite himself. She gives and shields while he takes and obliterates. But Stella unlocks a part of Beck he has kept hidden away.

The two set forth a plan to assuage and avenge. Each relying on the other unknowingly. Beck gets his building and Stella gets her life, her career, and her future back on track.

They fall into step. Pretend becomes possibility. Conviction becomes absolution.

The narrators added depth to their characters. Each gave us humor in their version of the other. Enjoyed this audible version of the story.

Swoon, swoon for this Mr. Wilde

If you are a fan or know of Louise Bay's stories this will not disappoint and it delivers in all the things that make her stories give anyone all the feels. It starts of with a basic premise of man who doesn't commit and woman who has just been through a breakup. After that it becomes endearing and a story whose central theme is about knowing how to choose your friends, not giving your power to someone and above all that life and love are worth risks. The story is very realistic in how she developed these character's personalities and quirks, the way friendships can be manipulative or honest and how you can never judge a book by its cover. The steamy scenes are outstanding and the narration by both Shane & Saskia was top notch.

A fun listen!

I love Louise bay and I have almost all of her audiobooks! I had been very excited about this one since it’s a new release and was very happy with it but I feel as if it’s lacking a bit compared to her other works.... I feel like there’s just more of a timeline in her other books which makes for a more in depth story for the characters to go through. More conflicts and rewards. This just seemed to be at work then the wedding week then back to work. But I must say I absolutely love her characters friends as well as their enemies she always makes up some fun ones as well as giving them realistic traits! I’m also always happy with the steamy parts she always does such a good job writing them! Makes me wish beck was my boyfriend! To top it off I’d like to say that the voice acting is top notch with these two They always talk with so much realistic emotion and it keeps you interested in what’s happening!
