About this listen

The latest installment of Audible’s blockbuster addition to the Sherlock Holmes universe, now featuring Dame Helen Mirren in a deliciously villainous performance, with Dominic Monaghan and Phil LaMarr returning to their leading roles.

Professor James Moriarty (Monaghan) is back for a gripping new adventure that finds him joining forces with his bitter rival, Sherlock Holmes (LaMarr). Moriarty tracks down the woman he loves but discovers that she is trapped in the web of a shadowy cabal of evil that’s growing stronger every day. To fight it, Moriarty must face Lady Milverton (Mirren), a ruthless mastermind whose blackmail poisons the highest levels of power. When he learns that his nemesis Sherlock Holmes is also in Milverton’s grip, the two must set their animosity aside to stop an escalating threat of world war.

The all-star cast’s performances, paired with a meticulously crafted sound design, make Moriarty: The Silent Order a truly electrifying audio experience. Come for the heart-pounding thrills, and stay for the biting wit and shocking twists. You’ve been warned: The game is once again afoot.

Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Very entertaining from start to finish! So much fun, I throughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Great Fun

An interesting retelling of the Moriarty story, sometimes told in the over acting style of old radio shows, but also mixed in with unaffected good or excellent acting. The plot hinges on a 'paradox' solution apparently beyond Holmes - surprising as it's completely obvious!
Appreciated as a free book, but would have been disappointed if I'd used a credit for it

The funniest paradox solution!

The cast was very good especially Helen Mirren.
The plot was good, but not without holes.

Helen Mirren was brilliant

An interesting twist on the previous book, having Holmes and Moriarty join forces. Destined to fail, as we knew it would. Once again, a sterling performance from Monaghan etc and no doubt Helen Mirren enjoyed doing this immensely. I do wish Sherlock fans would stop denigrating these books. They are clearly not meant to be in the same vein as Conan Doyle’s Sherlock-centric stories, and I repeat my claim that he himself would have approved of the character assassination of Holmes.

An unlikely partnership
