The story unfolds quickly and is enjoyable, witty. The twist at the end is a little hard to swallow, but the writing pulls it through. Recommended.

Wow !! , I must say at the beginning of this book I was shouted what a horrible arrogant man Maxon Reed was and how you wanted Keeley to really smack him one and she did woohoo he saw the light . I can’t wait to listen to second book . As ever Christian Fox was excellent as narrator.

This is one of my new all time favorites and is going straight into my favorite collection. The writing is superb, the character development out of this world and the narration totally amazing.

The way Shayla Black managed to make a character who’s a total asshole be a character you feel for and root for and that you can understand why he is who he is to then have him redeem himself in an amazing way is nothing but pure genius. Also the plot twist is a total surprise and so great it’s ridiculous. The thought crossed my mind but I totally wrote it off ‘cos Shayla managed to lull me in to not committing to the idea through som really great writing.
The flow of the story feels so natural and the language she uses is sophisticated and powerful it makes your heart ache and even feel that bitter sweet unrequited love feeling at times. You just can’t but feel all the feels with both of the main characters in every way imaginable. It’s amazing.

Last but not least… GREAT narration by Christian Fox! A new favorite for sure. Totally recommend all the way. 🥰🥰🤩
