I got the first book and then the omnibus when available for the final two books. I did enjoy this series, I needed something lighter after the heavy sci fi I tend to listen to and this hit the spot perfectly. A good range of characters developed enough throughout the books and though Eric was the main protagonist all contributed to the story and had value. They reminded me of a good few of my fellow players in various campaigns which was fun. They were worth the listen.

This book makes want to cook more often.. or at least eat. The focus is on the food, the cooking and on the colorful personalities of the party,the rest, like adventuring, magical conspiracies and rankups are just the garnish in this story. The world is interesting if somewhat broken, A and B rank adventurers are more like demigods than humans, meanwhile the F rank party ends up being in the focus of the action. Very well written and great performance.
