Summary
In a business like monster hunting, it's all about setting priorities.
The chaos god Asag has been quiet since the destruction of the City of Monsters, but Monster Hunter International know that he is still out there, somewhere - plotting, waiting for his chance to unravel reality.
When Owen and the MHI team discover that one of Isaac Newton's Ward Stones is being auctioned off by Reptoids who live deep beneath Atlanta, they decide to steal the magical superweapon and use it to destroy Asag once and for all. But before the stone can be handed off, it is stolen by a mysterious thief with ties to MHI and the Vatican's Secret Guard.
It's a race against time, the Secret Guard, a spectral bounty hunter, and a whole bunch of monsters to acquire the Ward Stone and use it against Asag. For as dangerous as the chaos god is, there is something much older - and infinitely more evil - awakening deep in the jungles of South America.

Harbinger/G Nome.
Oh my God!!!!!! the end is a cliff hanger of all cliff hangers. Larry get to writing book 9 like now today do not take 2 years... oh forgot... why does Harbinger no sound like G-nome. maybe the narrator couldn't quite get the original voice back the way he did in the past.

Great Addition to the MHI series!
another great read from Larry Correia! is it the best in the series, no... but, there are some great twists and turns combined with some big reveals! It was very nice to see the crossover with the (also enjoyable) Memoirs titles! big old cliffhanger at the end which already has me clawing at the walls, like Harbinger on a full moon, for more info and another book. Bravo Larry, Bravo!

Another Larry Correia Masterpiece
I have rated the Monster Hunter International series of books among my all time favourites and I long to read the much anticipated follow up to Monster Hunter Bloodlines.
As with all of this series Bloodlines is packed with action and humour, if you haven’t already experienced these brilliant stories I recommend you to begin at book No1 titled: ‘Monster Hunter international’

Good to be back
Book 8 in the series. I had not really enjoyed book 7 very much (surprising as I usually enjoy the switch of narrator books) maybe because I felt the female perspective wasn’t very authentic.
Fortunately, this was a wonderful return to form. The usual overdose of machismo, toxic masculinity and gun porn but still funny, exciting and imaginative with great characters.
The only downside is, unlike all the other books, this one doesn’t have a satisfactory ending. It just gets to a point and leaves you hanging. Disappointing, especially with no book 9 on the horizon, as far as I can see.
I guess I will just have to have patience and I assume it will come in time (and not be a switched perspective book - unless told from Stricken’s POV which could be interesting).
I find the narrator very amusing. His deep growl always reminds me of movie trailer voiceovers “In a world” if you know what I mean. I like how he switches to female characters so well though.
Potential Spoiler: I liked the cross-over aspect with MHI Memoirs which I hadn’t appreciated before.

stretched out too much
Bloodlines ended very abruptly, so much so that I thought I had accidentally skipped a chapter.

Enjoyable adventure story
It follows the same style as the rest of the series, all the same fast paced action and funny quips you'd expect. It doesn't really bring much new to the table... but hey, its an MHI novel! Just sit back and enjoy the romp.
The narration is as good as usual.
