Summary

For fans of Slay in Your Lane and Little Black Book, this no-nonsense exploration of colour and culture at work is essential listening for Black women in the workplace, their allies and industry change-makers.

For too long, Black women have been told the things about themselves that they have to do, or change, or be, in order to be successful at work. Now, Millennial Black is here to show Black women what you can do to thrive at work, just as you are.

It also offers clear, no-nonsense guidance for employers who want to be part of the change. Why is diversity just the start? And what does being truly inclusive really mean?

From insight into the race pay gap, through advice on setting boundaries and building your own ‘lady gang’, to tackling workplace sexual harassment and racist abuse, this is essential listening for a generation of Black women and their allies.

Insightful and Inspiring!!

This was such an informative, honest and inspiring book to read. This book has helped me to build my toolkit that will allow me to be a successful black woman in the workplace. There were so many 'omg, me too!' moments in the book which reminded me that I'm not alone and that black woman must continue to support and uplift each other. Thank you Sophie Williams for supporting and uplifting me! I read this book on Audible- I really liked hearing Sophie's voice as she's a great vocal narrator and kept me engaged

EVERYONE should read this.

"Do the work" Don't just talk about it, be about it. Learn how to be Anti racist with this book, or at the very least a better, more educated individual.

Thank you Sophie, this was amazing. So many women of colour especially, will be ever grateful for the knowledge you've shared here.
