About the creator and performer

Michelle Robinson Obama served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Mrs. Obama started her career as an attorney at the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. She later worked in the Chicago mayor's office, at the University of Chicago, and at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mrs. Obama also founded the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an organisation that prepares young people for careers in public service.
The Obamas currently live in Washington, DC, and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

A Truly Inspirational Podcast

I loved this episode about the value of friendship. This is something I personally hold in such high regard and share within my business too. True friendship is a powerful thing - that gets us through challenges we face in life. Michelle Obama's honesty, openness and humour make this podcast exceptional. It's wonderful to hear about her life as First Lady and of her friend's experience of collecting her daughter after her first play date at The Whitehouse. Scary and hysterical at the same time! I love Michelle's delivery about the reality of being the First Lady. Listening to her and experiencing her 'human' side and as a 'real person' made EVERY episode of this podcast inspirational, informative, fun, educational, motivational and so much more!
