Herbie and Violet's fifth gripping adventure brings the internationally bestselling Eerie-on-Sea series to a heart-stopping climax.

It is Midwinter once again, and a group of cryptozoologists have descended on the town to investigate the unresolved mystery of the malamander’s long-lost mate. Herbie and Vi don’t see what harm they can do, but as the monster-hunters begin to make new discoveries, the pair become uneasy. Then the fury of the malamander is roused, and the two friends experience a terrifying encounter deep beneath the earth. One that may lead them to finally discover the Deepest Secret of Eerie-on-Sea…©2023 Thomas Taylor (P)2023 W.F. The ending of this book reaches new heights for an evocative 5th book in the series. So much drama and adventure, expertly read by the narrator. I hope this author has another new series stirring in his brain :)

Great kids book that I also loved as a mum. And in fact it even made me cry at the end. Very well written and flowed really well. Great twists and turns

Great story line over all 4 books

This is still an interesting adventure that didn't fall short even though that's the fifth book with the same plot development. Mermedusa is packed with a lot of action, something is always happening, no time to linger. The characters, as always, are nice and lovable. But I've found two new podcasters extremely suspicious. I genuinely expected them to reveal themselves as another villains, but no. What a shame. They acted villainish enough for me. This is a fairy tale with fairy tale-ish ending. Everything ends well. Even things that never looked like they can possibly have a good resolution. This series is so immensely comforting, and it always cheers me up.

A fun adventure
