Summary
They say bad things happen in threes.
The first was when I lost my parents.
The second came when I had to leave behind everything I knew to move across the world to live with my only remaining relative.
But what was life for, if not for living? So I kept moving.
Then the third thing happened, just as I was about to begin my junior year at the prestigious Blackstone University.
I caught the eye of not one, not two, but three of the most infamous guys on campus. The three guys from the wrong side of the tracks.
Saint, Mateo, and Callum.
And now that they have me in their sights, I know that there's nowhere I can hide.
There's no escape from the Boneyard Kings.
Merciless Kings is a reverse harem romance with enemies to lovers and bullying themes. This is book one in the Boneyard Kings series and cannot be listened to as a stand-alone.

Speechless. Damn, this series is one helluva ride.
Audio review and damm the dual narrations leave you mesmerised. Speechless. Damn, this series is one helluva ride. The Boneyard Kings are fierce, sexy and damn the sexual tension is unlike anything i have listened to before.
Saint, Mateo and Calum, there brooding ways and playfulness is intoxicating and when you catch the eyes of the Boneyard kings RUN!
Everly you will absolutely adore and the narrator captures her PERFECTLY. But she has no idea what she is being brought into when she lives with her uncle. Things are far from what she expects and the truth will come out.
HOLYMOTHEROFDARKNESS the cliffy at the end had me BUYING audible and diving straight into book two!!
I loveeee Becca Steele's writing and this does not disappoint. 😍

5/5⭐️
- Reverse harem
- Good girl x Bad boys
- Revenge plot
- University bully romance
- Multiple POVs
I am a sucker for Becca Steele's books so I was so excited to read this, especially as I haven't read anything by C. Lymari before.
Everly is dealing with the lose of her parents and living in a different country with her uncle and it is here that she meets the Boneyard Kings. Saint, Mateo, and Callum are the definition of bad boys and they are totally drool worthy! We don't get to know much about their past but we do get flash backs that start to help fill in the gaps. These boys are out for revenge and the way to get it is through Everly.
This was a great intro to this story with a lot of plot twists and some great spicy scenes! The library and junkyard scenes!!!! IYKYK!
Can definitely see these boys becoming my new book boyfriends! Not only did I love the book but the audiobook is so good too! I love when there are multiple voice actors so the fact we had a different actor for each of our MC's just made it so much better! Highly recommend!!!!

Starting Off Hot!
So I have been anxiously and patiently impatiently waiting for a RH romance from my girl Becca Steele. Together, her and C. Lymari finally put me out my misery and gave me what I’ve been begging for. These two killed this collab! I love that sweet yet tortuous build up between Everly and the guys. The way she makes a unique individual connection with Saint, Mateo and Callum. Whew, and that hate lust, yes gawd that hate lust was hawt af. These two definitely knew just what to do to reel you in by giving you a little taste but still leave you hungry for more afterward. I’m eager to see what is up next for Everly and the Boneyard Kings especially after that crazy cliff! And this cast of narrators is absolutely stellar. Stella Hunter, Teddy Hamilton, J.F. Harding and Oscar Reyes did an amazing job bringing this story to life and made for one heck of an audiogasm!

Fantastic
Having read the trilogy I was excited when I found out they were going to be on audio. As soon as I saw it had released on audible UK I bought it and I’ve been awake all night listening and it’s so good. The multicast narration is perfection and I hope Vicious Queen isn’t far behind.

High Quality - Low Quantity
I was curious why this series had so few reviews when it is actually really good.
Now I know.
Before I reveal the answer, I should first acknowledge that I made the choice to purchase a 5 hour audiobook, so I wasn’t misled. And cliffhangers are great in a series - I like them. That said…
I just went to purchase the second book to find it is only 4 hours, 56 minutes long. Immediately, my thoughts went from, “What a great series!” to, “Ugh.. Another greedy author selling out to Amazon by churning out half books for full credits.”
I should have thought to check the length of book 2 when seeing book 1 was so short., But I didn’t. And now I’ve been a willing victim of the newest bait ‘n switch scheme: The “insert another credit” cliffhanger after only a half credit worth of content has been delivered.
So, the reason there aren’t many reviews is likely due to people choosing to invest in authors/publishers who do not employ the smarmy tactic of cutting full length stories in half simply to make listeners pay twice as much,

Merciless Kings
*Audiobook Review - July 19, 2022*
𝘼 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨, 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙮. 𝙈𝙮 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨.
MERCILESS KINGS is Everly, Callum, Saint and Mateo's story and the first book in the Boneyard Kings series.
Everly is trying to keep out of trouble but as the niece of the dean that is tough to do. As Callum, Saint and Mateo set their sights on Everly, everything starts to change in Blackstone.
I loved this book when I read it last year and I love it even more now after listening to it. The tension that rolls off of Everly, Callum, Saint and Mateo is fire. The suspense and mystery have you glued to the book and the cliffhanger has you wanting book two right away.
Stella Hunter, Teddy Hamilton, J.F. Harding and Oscar Reyes did an amazing job bringing the entire cast and the story alive.
MERCILESS KINGS contains... reverse harem, college, bully, dark, dual first-person point of view.

Merciless Kings
Wow, I reaaaaally loved this audiobook! Like LOVED loved it. Not just regular love. Becca has typically written M/F books and this is the first RH I've read from her and it was amazing. One of the best parts of Becca's books is how addictive her characters become. I loved Everly from the start, she's sweet and has been beaten down by life but she keeps a good head on her shoulders and wants to make the best out of life. She finds herself drawn to the three Boneyard Kings, who are the epitome of bad boys. They're seeking her out and focusing on her but she doesn't know why. The guys all come from bad backgrounds and it's part of their identity at this point in the story. They also have their own motivation for focusing on Everly, we are only just getting into what it is. I can't wait for more on these 4 and what will happen to all of them!

I NEED book 2!
Gah! What to say. It’s a messed up, bully “romance” with a British girl and her 3 boys from the other side of the tracks. This chick is no simpering maiden though, she plays chess with the best of them. Unluckily for her- she had no idea she had been playing since she first came across their board. I thought for sure the guys would give her the benefit of the doubt, but the moment they took something out of context- they pounced.. and I mean pounced! Wow that ending. Talk about a cliffhanger! I devoured this book and can’t wait to hear what happens next!!

Dreadful
This is a disgusting story about repeated rapes that are framed in a lustful “she wants it” context by the author. The characters are shallow and there’s so little backstory/character development that I never cared for the main character before she was thrown into misogynistic situations that she didn’t handle well. The “penises” of the three antagonist make characters get about as much personality and character development as their minds do. Besides the fact that this is boring and offensive, it’s also unrealistic and damaging to women and foster care children everywhere.

Love this book!
I love duel narration in books, I really liked that there were three separate male narrators, it makes it so much easier to follow along and know who is speaking. I gave the performance 4 stars because I sometimes had difficulty hearing Matteo, he spoke in a husky whisper so I really had to focus to pick up everything he said at times.
I am 100% invested in this series! I need to know what is happening behind the scenes. Everly somehow caught up in something dangerous by no fault of her own. I am questioning everything from her parents deaths, her uncles motives, the Boneyard Kings motives. So much has been revealed without anything actually getting revealed, there are so many secrets! I think there was a perfect mix of darkness and spice in this first book, stuff happened but it wasn't super spicy, I have high expectations for the spice and darkness to ramp up as the story progresses.

Stupid stupid stupid
I can’t believe I actually made it to the end but I wanted to know why they went after her. Still not sure. A big waste of time unless you want to listen to freaky sex.

Loved it!
I read this book when it was released but listening to it hits different. These Kings are 🥵🥵🥵. It’s hard to read and get the real feel of a British accent in my head so I really enjoyed that addition to the story.
