Wow. This is so bad it might actually be trolling.

First of all the narration is incredibly monotoned and delivered very robotically. This makes listening uncomfortable.

The author repeatedly uses religious lore as his basis for success. Not very scientific. They at one point used a professional wrestler Shawn Michaels as an example of resilience. A scripted outcome has no place here!

Furthermore its full of "just be" ideology. Be resilient, be ambitious etc. and just leaves it at that.

Seriously is this author just trolling here!!

I'm only a half hour in and will not be listening any further. Avoid!!

Nice one!

I bought a book for a friend. He studies mental abilities. And this book, according to him, is good for beginners. As a guide to understanding how everything is arranged and where to start. And also important points that you should pay attention to.

Highly Recommended

The Audio book includes true life combat stories to emphasize the strategies. These combat stories are all followed by recitals of the official military award citations. This makes the stories come off very repetitive and takes away from the actual lessons of the book.

Are the positive reviews by bots?

I am seriously baffled by the positive reviews. I have had an Audible account for over four years. Until this book, I have never purchase a book with such horrible content and narration. The narrator erroneously repeats words and eliminates words. Additionally, the narrator reads as if there is no punctuation—just one word after another with no inflection or sense of meaning. Furthermore, there are frequent usage and grammatical errors. I’m not sure if the author needs a good editor or if, this too, is an issue of poor narration. If there were not a narrator listed, I would seriously think the book was being read by a computer.
I got about an hour into the book before I gave up on the content. It seemed to be a series of inspirational memes strung together with little to no methodology. Maybe, the methodology is spelled out in the chapters I didn’t listen to. 🤔
I did skip to the end to see if the conclusion offered a summary of a worthwhile takeaway. It did not. It did, however, conclude with a “bonus” chapter recommending another book by this author on developing social skills. It promised to teach me how to dominate people in situations such as an encounter with a woman who was reluctant to go to bed with me. I could not believe my ears. I rewound and listened to that part again. Sure, enough it had, in fact, proposed that I could learn how to dominate a woman reluctant to sleep with me. In my book, that’s called rape, and I don’t want anything to do with a self-help book that says otherwise.
To date, this is the only audiobook for which I requested a refund. Did all of the other five-star-reviewers read a different book, or is something fishy going on here?

A comprehensive audio guide.

If you're looking for a self-help book that challenges the way you think about things, this is it. A perspective-changing book, if you implement some of the ideas!
