Summary

Joel Miller is an ex-roadie for Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Stone Temple Pilots, and the Cranberries. The book is an often-hilarious personal account of a young man in his early 20s trying to be a “good” roadie while also trying to understand life’s big picture. Through the advice of rock stars and career roadies Joel tries to find the pathway to roadie righteousness.

"I was forced to relive moments I’d intentionally blocked out. Great read!" (Dizzy Reed - Guns N' Roses)

"If you really wanna know what life is like for the roadies, ride on their bus for a day or two. That'll teach ya." (Eric Dover - Slash's Snakepit)

"…it’s played havoc with my circulation as I’ve ended up sat on the loo…reading it for too long at a session and got pins and needles in my legs." (The Moshville Times)

Tooooo long

Good but just way too long not enough interesting content to warrant 13 hours I started getting bored at about chapter 80 then really bored at chapter 115 it would have been excellent if it had of been condensed down to about 8 hours

Very Good

I enjoyed this one. I drove thousands of miles up and down the UK while listening. Killed the time. I've always wondered what it would be like to be a roadie. I feel like I've had the experience in my imagination . Good storys. Thanks 👍

Great Book

Thoroughly entertaining if you're in any way rock fan. Interesting and funny insight into the world of touring bands in the 90s.

Great Listen

Really enjoyed this insight into the life of a roadie. Done with whit and humour. The great thing is I can continue to listen to Joel on his podcasts. His book is well worth the listen/read 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘

Strangely addictive eventually

Found it a struggle in the beginning, mainly because the narrator's voice is annoying to me but I did love the stories and by the end I was wishing there was more.

Boring

I found the book to be tedious monologue, of mundane, everyday activities. virtually no insight to "rock stars".
