This mental-rehearsal Audio Download set, the four-week guided-meditation companion program to Dr Joe Dispenza's book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, is designed to move you from the analytical Beta brain-wave state to the state of Alpha, and develop your ability to sustain coherent brain-wave patterns. By placing your awareness on different parts of your body "in space" and on "the space around your body", as instructed by Dr Joe, you are altering your brain so that you enter into the operating system of your subconscious mind - where unwanted habits and programmes exist. Amazing Meditations, signposting confusing though
Love these meditations. I can't sink into a really deep medititive state.
However, if you have the book you will notice that the week by week plan does not match up with the "chapters" on Audible. So I had to sit down and consciously listen to each one to match it with the book. To save you time, this is how they match up:
Meditation 1 = Body Part Induction (week one in book) and Guided Meditation (week two in book)
Meditation 2 = first paragraph of week two in book + bits from week four in book
Meditation 3 = Water Rising Induction (week one in book)
Meditation 4 = week three and four in book
Confusing huh! I think the best way to practice these so you don't have to come iut of your medititive state to change chapters, is to:
For first week or so: Listen to Meditation 1 only (or Meditation 3 only)
Next few week or so: Listen to Meditation 1 followed by meditation 2 - this will male for long mediation time of 1 hr 15 however
Next week or so: Listen to Meditation 3 followed by meditation 4 - again a longer meditation of over an hour

Where are the guidelines?
This course of meditation is sold without any guidelines on how often to undergo each meditation and in which order, if any. And annoyingly, as it is typical of audible, instead of naming what each chapter pertains to they are just numbered adding to the confusion, meaning you have to listen to the whole chapter to know what it’s about. This is pure oversight or laziness on the part of those involved in the upload. So, should I do mediations 1-4 on rotation daily, or weekly, or whenever? Or should I pick a favourite and stick with it? Who knows! But for £7.99 I would have liked these basic points to be addressed.

The S'es and the breath
I really loved the book, so my expectations for the meditations were really high.
firstly, you need to be a dolphin to be able to follow his breathing instructions. Secondly, it's his voice. The way he speaks, describes the spacccccccccce.. it's horrible and annoying.
I'm norwegian and couldn't understand why he would use words such as "extremetis" instead of hands/arms. I needed to stop the meditation and google the word, now being somewhat annoyed and then trying to be a dolphin again as I started over.
I've meditated a lot so it's not hard for me to get into the Alfa state, but the first meditation that was 38 minutes, ended up being an experience of an hour. I doubt I was in any state other than annoyed. Because of the voice and the S'es. I enjoyed the last five minutes but it's lacking an end. As I wasn't sure if the meditation kept going or not, I opened my eyes and realized that it skipped to meditation two.
This is lazyness, not explained in any way regarding what meditation to listen to in which week so I doubt people will benefit from it.
If a writer takes the time to write a book and then add the "how to" by adding meditations, he should have done it properly.
Sadly, this is not.
I'll end up spending hours making my own meditations based on the book. I feel this was a waste of time and money.

Amazing meditation
My mom suggested I listen to this because I was in a down place focusing on negative things and let it consume me. Since listening to this meditation I’ve learnt to stand outside of my thoughts and observe them than wallow in them and become more anxious about how life is going. I’m grateful for this audiobook and will continue using it for the rest of my life :) it’s changed my outlook on life drastically. Thank you JOE DISPENZA!!!

Terrible narration
This is really difficult to listen to. He should've used someone else's voice for the recording. The way he rolls the Ses at the end of words is mind numbing. He goes: "can you feel the sspaceeeee". It's really hard to focus listening to his voice.

These are NOT the meditations stated in the book
These are NOT the meditations described in the book "Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself".
To obtain the correct meditations for the book and save yourself hours of searching for them. Follow these steps-
1. Go to https://drjoedispenza.com
2. Click the tab 'Shop'
3.Click the tab 'Meditations'
4.Scroll through all the meditations to page 5, Where you will find a meditation named " Meditations for Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself"- ("Water Rising/Body Parts-space, Book Companion Meditation set, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Updated Version) It currently costs 35 dollars for these two meditations.
5.Follow the GUIDANCE below to work out Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4 meditations as specified in the book, on page 224.
GUIDANCE
There is a four-week program discussed in the book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. The following are the meditation directions for the four-week program.
Meditation Directions:
There are two meditations that you can choose from each day. You only need to do one per day. Dr. Joe has provided two different inductions so that you can vary your meditation routine. Each meditation is split into four sections so that you can become familiar with each step and then build on skill level from your previous week.
Please Note: You may want to first fast forward to the times listed below to familiarize yourself with what the bells sound like before listening to the meditation for the first time.
1. For the First Week:
Start the meditation and continue until you hear a bell. Do this portion of the meditation every day, for the first week.
Water Rising: (24 minutes)
Body Parts - Space: (28 minutes)
2. For the Second Week:
Start at the beginning, continue through the first bell, and then continue until you hear the second bell and then stop at the second bell. Do this portion of the meditation every day, for the second week.
Water Rising: (35 minutes)
Body Parts – Space: (39 minutes)
3. For the Third Week:
Start at the beginning, continue through the first bell, continue through the second bell, and then stop at the third bell. Do this portion of the meditation every day, for the third week.
Water Rising: (48 minutes)
Body Parts - Space: (51 minutes)
4. For the Fourth Week:
Start at the beginning, continue through the first bell, continue through the second bell, continue through the third bell, and then continue through to the end. Do this portion of the meditation every day, for the fourth week.

misleading
this is not 4 meditations as it says, it is only 2 very long meditations (1h). it moves to the next without you even realising. it is misleading as I bought it thinking it was 4 short meditations.

I’m confused
The description claims these meditations are to be used in conjuction with the book. The book refers to a 7-step, 4 week programme with a guided meditation session for each week. After listening to each meditation they are in no way connected to the book. The description is so misleading and I’m disappointed.
