easy to follow and doesn't feel un-natural

I've always found it challenging to meditate as my mind is always going 100 miles per hour. This book is easy to read with activities that don't feel un-natural. The meditations are not intimidating and help you to focus on being more in the moment. I have found it most helpful right before I go to sleep at night and occasionally first thing in the morning before I start my da

useful workbook for beginner ...

This book is well written, well designed and eminently practical. It lists and clearly explains 10 different kinds of meditation and I recommend it for use as a useful workbook for beginner meditators. My only objection is the subtitle "10 Days to a happier, calmer you." It takes a lot longer than that to establish a solid meditation practice and feel the results.

Are you learning to meditate, than this book

I have been working very hard on meditation, and learning how to properly do it. This book breaks things down into steps, and also terminology which was good because I didn't know how to define the things I needed to do. This book gives you different ways to hold your hands, ways to breath, and exercises to practice both. I am very glad I got to review this book.

Beginners is a fine introduction to meditationsd

Practical Meditation for Beginners is a fine introduction to meditation. It is clearly written and easy to follow. The reader can trust the ideas and purpose of each of the meditations presented. Meanwhile the value of the experience the reader will have is well exposed and possible questions are answered. The reader will feel supported and encouraged.

Open & Helpful

There are many different meditation techniques and the author provides helpful information on select meditation techniques. It is a great guide that helps ease the reader into the meditation techniques in a calming manner. It also provides other information (mindfulness) that can serve as a kind of meditation. The author seems very open and honest in his work. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I received this book from the publisher. It is very informative and a great book for beginners, which I am - I found the tips useful and liked that you could add your own notes after trying the 10 techniques. The techniques are laid out well, with step by step instructions and are easy to follow. I liked it.

I love simple, easy-to-listen

The key word in this book is "Practical," which is precisely what it is. I love simple, easy-to-read, practical books that provide clear blueprints for success. Love how Decker seamlessly weaves what each type of meditation is with What-you'll-need and How-to-get-started sections. Take each chapter as a day-by-day move toward meditation, and you'll be successful. Wonderful book with a beautiful design.

I learned a lot

I'm currently looking for new ways to be happier and calm her as life is been stressful for me lately and been able to go through this book and learn about different ways to practice along with taking notes and get myself in the right frame of mind is helpful. I also learned that what you eat really affects your body and how you feel so very important to eat the right foods. Most learn about chakras and I find it very interesting on what each chakra means and how to balance them. So this book taught me a lot and am on the way to becoming a happier and calmer self.

as well as the advanced

I'm new to meditation and needed a book to guide me on the basics. This book explains meditation in detail from what to do with your hands to how to sit. It has a section to help with mindful eating which was important to me since I recently became a vegan and needed help with controlling what I eat.

My absolute favorite book ever

Highly recommend.

The beautiful voice really helps you to get in to a meditative state in all the meditations there is also so many to choose from and to keep it varied if you don't like to do the same one everyday, highly recommend.

Amazing enlightening book!

This book is the best self help book I have ever read--A true gem and treasure. No mushy woo-woo stuff--just pure wisdom from the source, giving a powerful path to walk down if one is ready to live a life without fear, doubt, guilt, shame, and all the other self limitations that have been imposed on ourselves throughout our life's journey through the stagnant dark tangled web of trauma.
