Beautiful renditions

The arrangement of "It Is Well" alone is worth the money spent in my opinion. These arrangements are perfect for playing as offertories or preludes or at home just for enjoyment. I would classify them as intermediate. They are easy enough to perfect with just a little practice, but do not sound too simple

The Beginner's Go-To Guide for Meditation

A great starting point for anyone looking to integrate meditation into their lives. Activities are easy to understand and the variety of practices is really helpfully Within a few days I noticed that it was easier to fall asleep and wake up . Sometimes it's the little mental things that can be holding you back or tripping you up and this slim little volume of meditations is great for anyone. It doesn't require a lot out of the reader and really can help improve calmness, stress, relaxation, and sleep.

A Great Start for the Meditation.

You cannot blame the translator for translating the Meditations, and you cannot blame Marcus for writing his journal his way, without ever believing anyone else would read it, for that does not matter.

Biginners for the Beginner

Provides the intellectual framework necessary for the kinds of analytic meditations on emptiness so often recommended by HH the Dalai Lama. Not the book for someone with just a passing interest in Buddhist philosophy. But, an excellent resource for those wishing to pursue further study and meditation on emptiness.

Many Good Points

I am sincerely pissed that I was not provided a copy of this as a kid growing up. I have devised a work around to the whole "Not growing up with a father figure" issue There are books that can change your life profoundly forever. This is one that is a simple and easy to understand introduction to meditation practices, but one that you will find yourself drawn to repeatedly over time and be continuingly amazed at the pragmatic depths of wisdom gracing its pages.

Extremely Helpful

However, he has given so many of his insights throughout the whole story, which really match the sources. He has linked the story of the soul with the meditative practice in a truly unique way. It is especially commendable that he did not invade religious influences, on the contrary, he insists that there's no space for religious affiliation in meditation

I highly recommend this book

I bought the book because I wanted a way to de-stress my life, I've been doing cognitive behavourial meditation by myself for years and it helped a little but not much because I kept attacking and analyzing my thoughts and kept on falling into the same holes when I listen this book and did the headspace app everything connected and I found calmness as I watched my thoughts act out their little drama.

The Value of Lived Experience

This book is very good, but I think people should be aware of what they're buying before they buy it. This book discusses some Buddhist concepts that are behind Vipassana meditation, and discusses why people meditate, and what the short term and long term benefits to meditation are.

Simple & Effective

I was introduced to Marcus Aurelius by my boyfriend when I expressed interest in Stoicism. Although I have heard many of the concepts or sentiments in the book elsewhere before, it was refreshing to see them from the perspective of an ancient leader. Many of his musings have become invaluable to me and I find myself repeating the messages on a regular basis.

Genuinely helpful!

Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners such an amazing guidebook. This book all of the information very easy to understand. The beginning is biographical about Andy Puddicombe, and his gaining the knowledge and the benefits of Meditation and Mindfulness. I found this quite interesting. The book is written at a pace which makes it easy to understand and keeps you reading more.

A Lovely Book!!!

A great starting point for anyone looking to integrate meditation into their lives. Taking mindful approaches to anxiety is consistently the only technique that has worked for me. Through the strategies in this book, I have been relieved of plenty of suffering and pain.

One of my favorite listen!!

These type of books and other versions of this that I have listen have a lot of messy citations. I like those versions when looking at the book from a historical perspective, but I think they get in the way of casual study of the work.

Excellent meditations for any man

This book has been used for centuries as a guide for living well and bravely in the face of human contingency and the vicissitudes of earthy life. The translation is a pleasure to read. I can't recommend it enough. and I got this for my husband, but he didn't seem interested, so I started listen it. It was so good, I started using it during my morning meditation. Now it is my go-to. So suitable for both genders - just a great meditation book.

Perfect for therapists!

I'm a fan of self help books that aren't meant to be consumed all at once and can be devoured in small little chunks. Meditation for Relaxation is just that, it's filled with 60 different meditations that range in length from 5 or 10 or 15 minutes to complete. You can make it as little or as long as you need it to be and is perfect for those who don't have a lot of free time to devote to a new practice.

Great book, easy guide

I listen this book along with attending a meditation class at my community college. The introduction allowed a better understanding of the meditation exercises. Although some the exercise instructions were repetitive they were clearly written and were consistent and complementary to my community college course.

On Point and of Benefit to All Beings

This book does a great job of succinctly yet comprehensively showcasing the vast knowledge base of meditative practices of Early Buddhism. It modernizes the instructions, benefits, and practices in a form that anyone from a beginner to seasoned meditator can learn from. I, even, bought a copy for a friend, and he too has benefited from undergoing the progressive meditations that build upon each other.
