A forgotten people. A lost bloodline. A true Mage will rise.

Ardan Egobar is a young hunter from a remote mountain tribe. Destined for nothing more than the quiet rhythms of the wild.

But when fate drags him from his village into the heart of the New Monarchy Empire, everything changes. He steps into a melting pot of orcish mobsters, cigar-smoking dwarven bankers, and fashionforward elves—all on the brink of world war.

As Ardan grapples with his forgotten bloodline and discovers an intricate magic system, he begins a slow, compelling ascent, transforming from an innocent youth into a rising mage whose power may one day reshape history.

From Kirill Klevanski, the bestselling author of Dragon Heart, comes this epic new Progression Fantasy adventure about a young wizards rise to power, featuring a detailed magic system, expansive world-building, slow-build power progression, epic action, and unforgettable characters.

This was a really good fantasy novel and a breath of air among all the litrpgs.

Been a long time since I last time was soo hooked on a audio book. The twist, and plot and even when this is just fantasy/stories. The Caracter, and how you follow him grow up. The way too see the world, and brutally get crushed, only to grow up stronger... I could sometimes not leave yet, so sometimes I was 10 min late to work. Now I start Om book 3... Feel sad already that thus is the last one.

Unusual good writing

I had a little trouble getting into it in the beginning. Though as time went on the skill of the author really showed. Building a world, competing magic systems, and a believable history. the Main character is believable and I thoughoughly enjoyed their 'Hero's Journey'. By the end of the Book I couldn't believe just how far they had come. A thought engrossing audio book with the narrator, and I am really itching for the next installment.

A wonderfully paced and built story

I really like his books but there's a bit too much fluff, internal monologging, flowery descriptions of events the mc is going through and even when someone talks to him, the book just ignores the dialog for a minute or more before he responds. I was happy when the book ended, not because I didn't enjoy it (for the most part) but because it was such an emotional roller coaster.

To much fluff

This is a slow burn but well worth the pay off.
I'm genuinely surprised moor people aren't raving about this series.

it's set in a unique world of magic, cowboys and organised crime.

the narrator is excellent.

the book is amazing value at 40 hours for 1 credit
