There might be emotional scars that shape who we are, yeah it could have been something from our childhood or a rough patch in adulthood, but like the author stated we have to take the drivers seat. I know i have distant behaviors and like the audio stated i keep myself away from social gatherings. The view of your current lifestyle may be based on core wounds but we must process these healing connections to transform us into someone with emotional resilience but still experience life so we can also have the enjoyment. We can't allow what we perceive to control any emotional triggers. Once we understand our emotional landscape we can separate our past from the current and feel that calmness we're looking for.
