Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling paranormal romance author Felicity Heaton presents:

Marked by an Assassin (Eternal Mates Paranormal Romance Series, Book 8)

A snow leopard shifter exiled from his pride 20 years ago, Harbin treads the dark path of life as an assassin, driven by a hunger for vengeance, mercilessly hunting the Archangel members who attacked his kin, murdering his mother and sister.

When a new contract comes in and the mark is a snow leopard shifter, he can't resist venturing into the mortal world on a personal mission to find out why one from a normally peaceful species now has a price on their head. What he finds in a rundown nightclub isn't quite what he expects - a beautiful snow leopard female that awakens a fierce hunger inside him.

Aya has spent 17 years living in London, immersed in the underbelly of the fae world, keeping her head down and her tail out of trouble. But when trouble walks right into her life in the form of a sinfully handsome, dangerous assassin, she is pulled into a whirlwind of events that stir up the nightmares of her past but might just give her a shot at putting those ghosts to rest - if she can resist the dark allure of a male she knows is her fated mate.

Can Harbin and Aya resist the passionate fire that blazes between them as they chase the vengeance they both crave? Or will they surrender to their deepest desires?

Not my favourite but not

So I'm LOVING this entire series. I love the characters, the story lines and attention to detail. I'm enjoying this book for those reasons but I'm not enjoying at the same time because sadly I dislike the narrator. Previous narrators took a little getting used to but I did and enjoyed listening to them. Unfortunately the narrator of this book (to me perhaps not others) is a little monotone at times and for books set mostly in London I would prefer an English/Australian (maybe) narrator. This of course is my own view and probably doesn't match that of many so apologies to those offended.

Not a big fan of Eric Dove.

Eric dove sounds like a car salesman doing a commercial Robert Petcoph is one of the best narrator I've ever heard.

No flow and monotone narrator

I initially reviewed this book before getting to the 2nd chapter. then revised it again by the 3rd chapter. On chapter 7 now and I am struggling to keep going. the narrator is monotone. Seeing as he is the brother of Cavanagh one would think that the accents would be the same.

Also, in chapter 7 and 11, the narrator didnt pronounce Annais or I.o the same way as the previous narrator did in Taken by a Dragon and previous books.

Love it

I really enjoyed reading this book very much!.... definitely a must read! Harbin is a hot Assassin with a rough past that had changed his life. Aya was told that Harbin had betrayed his clan she holds a grudge and wants to revenge what her kin and she went thru. They both fight and discover their attraction goes deeper than what they imagined. Can’t wait to read and listen to the audio! Love this series! Definitely worth it!
