Summary

Manage Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Adult ADHD Signs and Symptoms to Manage and Control Adult ADHD is a book that gives a summary of the causes and symptoms of adult ADHD. It'll help you understand that ADHD is not a problem that cannot be solved, nor is it a character flaw.

You'll also learn how ADHD progresses from childhood to adulthood. ADHD is a serious and complex condition - but the good news is that it's not hopeless.

The symptoms and signs of ADHD may be troublesome and give you an uncomfortable life, but if you learn to control and manage these symptoms, you can enjoy the various aspects of your personal, domestic, and work lives as well as your relationships.

People may have labeled you dumb, lazy, insensitive, or irresponsible. But remember that you're not any of those things, and you can change how people see you.

You don't have to cope - you can rise above the challenging behavior and overcome obstacles. You'll find helpful tips and self-help strategies for you to handle the various symptoms of ADHD, such as hyperactivity, disorganization, insensitivity, impulsiveness, and other emotional complexities.

Implementing strategies like having a healthy diet, cultivating relationships, dealing with moods, and becoming organized at home and at work can help you become a better person.

Monotone, would be great to help you fall asleep

Consists of monotone narration and only reading what sounds like a numbered list. If you have ADHD, (or even if you don't), this is pretty difficult to tolerate for more than about 30 minutes.

This book covers a lot.

This book covers a lot. there were parts that I skipped over because I am already a diagnosed patient. However, the book is really easy to relate to and evaluate how ADHD has had an affect on other aspects of life that I hadn't even connected with the disorder. Definitely recommend.

This book is the most useable

This book is the most useable, readable, and insightful guide to understandin and living with ADHD! Of the many available on the market, and there are many, this is the only one in my experience and reading that actually takes the hand of the adult with ADHD and leads him/her to practical, real life actions that will make life so much easier.

The format is clear

The format is clear, the style of writing warm, and the METHODS of goal and objective acquisition presented so clearly that you could learn something even while reading the book in a loud Metro car after a Washington Nationals' win!

This is a wonderful and easy-to-listen book

This is a wonderful and easy-to-listen book full of excellent advice. I have tried other self-help books, but this is the first one that I have tried where I have actually been able to make good use of the suggestions and get results. I would recommend this not only for people with ADHD but also anyone who had difficulty with time management and/or organization.

Thank you!!!!!!

This is the first book on Adult ADHD that I was actually able to get through...having ADHD, I find most books too jargony or cumbersome. I really appreciated how the author's divided up the reading into short segments for me and included lots of exercises and examples to break up the writing. I found the exercises simple to apply to my own life and was able to implement a lot of their ideas pretty easily. Reading this book directly decreased my stress and made living with ADHD a lot easier, for myself AND my wife!
