This is funny, engaging and fairy short. I loved it because I had read several of Marian Keyes books on members of the Walsh and this is written as background from Mammy Walsh. However, I expect it can be enjoyed independent of the other books.

Outrageously funny

For those of you yet to be acquainted with the Walsh family, you are in for a treat. I was pleased that only a very small part of this book was taken up by briefly (but very accurately), introducing the five Walsh sisters who each have their own opportunity to shine in their own books. The wisdom, wit and angst of Mammy Walsh quite rightly forms the backbone of this book. She is a delightful character and I would have thoroughly enjoyed more of her musings on her life experiences. It will therefore come as no surprise when I say my only criticism of this book is that it is too short. The audio version is of a very high standard and in parts was narrated so brilliantly, I literally walked into a wall whilst listening to it when out walking, I was laughing so much. It's not very often a book can have me still smiling at remembered passages, long after I've removed my headphones. This one did!

FUNNY

A laugh out loud story, so pleased I chose to listen to it rather than read the book the narrator did an excellent job.

Save your credit - it’s 2hours long!

I love Marian Keyes and what a clever little book. It is so short and I wish I’d read the reviews before wasting my credit. Lovely narration but seriously Audible this book should be included in the membership. Disappointed 🥲

I heart Mammy Wash

I love getting to hear Mammy Walsh’s voice and story. I know some people feel the book is too short, personally, I think it is the right length for story retelling. The voice actress was really amazing too!

Very short, don't expect a novel

I can't recall if this book costed me anything. If I wasted a credit on it (which I suspect I may have), it would have been a very foolish purchase. It's a 2-hour listen and it's literally an A to Z. No real story there.
