With Enid Blyton's magnificent descriptive powers, I felt like I was there at school with them, and loved every minute. The midnight freasts were so vivid I could almost taste them. Wonderful fun that stays with you for ever

The Malory Towers stories are absolute classics and it was a joy to listen to them again. However, I was disappointed to find the narration not of the same quality as the story - I found it rather flat and monotonous. Perhaps the steady rhythm of the narration was pleasing to some people, but I found it devoid of the fun and games Malory Towers is so full of. I would recommend this audiobook to help you sleep or to calm down, but probably not to listen to as a pastime.

I read this series at least a dozen times and loved them. I was afraid of my adult opinion. But my fear was unwarrranted. I enjoyed the experience very much. There are some too stereotypical personages. And also the story is sexist and moralistic. But one should see it in its time (1940's). But all the same I found the story very nice, I still love it.

I really liked the story. It was realistic, in its own way. I was pleasantly shocked with Sally, horrified by a certain someone in the second form, and terribly amused by Zerelda. It was funny , clever and mischievous. I liked it immensely. Beth Eyre has a lovely voice, and I adore the way she has a slightly dull tone for the narration but if a character is talking or thinking, it would change and be different for each girl or mistress. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortingly simple yet interesting Enid Blyton boarding school. It would give younger children a deeper insight on the basic boarding schools back then. I prefer it over the other versions. Which, in all fairness, couldn't speak to the original author. Anyways, I bid all of you looking at this review, Happy Reading!
