In a world shaped by environmental collapse and the fall of human dominance, anthropomorphic species have risen to defend what remains. Among them is Major, a battle-scarred badger and seasoned special forces operator leading the elite B Troop against a relentless enemy crossing the border.

As raiding parties strike isolated villages and enemy soldiers infiltrate deep into their territory, Major must guide his troop through reconnaissance missions, ambushes, and full-scale engagements. Haunted by the loss of a childhood friend and driven by loyalty, he fights not for glory, but to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Operation Dreadnaught is a gritty military science fiction novel set in a post-human era where tactical warfare, loyalty, and survival define the battlefield. This is the first installment of a deeply immersive series that honors the sacrifices of service members and the bonds forged in conflict.

The narrator does a fantastic job of bringing this story to life. The story starts like a military action but a few chapters in and your brought into the world of Major and his troops. Cant think of a book that is close to this one, a truly unique take on what a future earth might be like. The prologue really does mirror what is happening now in 2025. The authors descriptions and use of narrative brings the landscapes and characters to life.
A great introduction into the world of Major and his soldiers of B Troop. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. I would highly recommend the book to those who enjoy Sci-Fi, Thrillers or action adventure.

I was 1st struck by the beautiful use of the English language in describing the scenes and quickly got pulled into the story. Spent every free moment I had to try and get to the next chapter and hear how the story unfolds. By the end I was as exhausted as Major but I wanted to hear more.
What a great new world to get lost in. New character and new adventures written in such a way that you get spellbound by it all and forget it's fiction. Aren't those the best books.
Look forward to the next book!
