About this listen

His mother was amazed when she saw the size of her newborn infant and realised that feeding him was going to cause problems. She turned to a box of patent Porker Pills, used for fattening pigs. But the bigger Magnus grew, the more problems he caused.©1982 Fox Busters Ltd (P)2014 Bolinda Publishing Animals Animals & Nature Fiction Literature & Fiction

I loved this story as a child, so when a long car journey loomed it was a great choice for my two kiddos. They loved the story and are looking forward to listening to it again.

A firm favourite.

My sister had this on tape years ago and we would all listen to it. Very enjoyable and very clearly read by Nigel Anthony.

Excellent

I had this audio book when I was little and loved it even though it was filled with "long words" that an average child would have no knowledge of. Now I'm in my twenties I thought I'd give this story another listen and am not surprised to find that I still love it. I have the added advantage of understanding those "long words" now without needing Roland the rabbit to translate for me.

Just as enjoyable now as in the past

I'm so glad that this gem was both as beautifully written and narrated as I fondly remembered it.

Childhood favourite
