Great information and entertaining as well.

I have trained and competed in various martial arts over the years. I have also trained in Thailand. Though I really didn't learn anything new I want to confirm that the info in this is legit. I really enjoyed it's well and even laughed out loud a few times.

Love it!

As a recent convert to MMA from wrestling I wanted to delve into the practice without making any initial novice mistakes. After purchasing and listening this book, I was able to achieve the insight necessary to not only find the right trainer, but also choose the area of expertise that I was looking for. From formatting a proper training plan and attending your first class to valid philosophical advice, this guide was the perfect primer for me. Also, the writing is to the point and instructive without discussing unnecessary things. I enjoyed that because the author makes sure to cover all the points necessary without wasting the listener’s time with extras that are unnecessary.

Fighting on the inside is a great way

Fighting on the inside is a great way for the shorter fighter to gain an advantage. Staying on the inside away for the taller man's reach staying in a better range for you. Often fighters who like to fight on the inside will have many tricks and techniques they like to use. I have seen boxers grab the back of the head with one arm while throwing hooks and uppercuts with the opposite arm. I have also seen fighters disguise elbows as hooks. In most IBJJF competitions, patches placed in certain areas are illegal, but in many other small competitions, it is perfectly legal.
