Summary
Life is in two parts: who you were before you met her and who you are after.
A documentary crew discover a mysterious young woman living alone in the mountains of West Cork. Strikingly beautiful, she has an extraordinary talent for mimicry, like the famous Australian lyrebird.
The crew, fascinated, make her the subject of their story and bestow the nickname upon her. When they leave they take Lyrebird with them back to the city. But as she leaves behind her peaceful life to learn about a new world, is she also leaving behind a part of herself?
For her new friend, Solomon, the answer isn't clear. When you find a rare and precious thing, should you share it - or protect it?
An intriguing and remarkable love story, Lyrebird will cement Cecelia Ahern's reputation as a writer of extraordinary talent.

Awful
I can't believe all the good reviews for this book, they must have been written by the author and her family I managed to last about 14 chapters before giving up and deleting it from my phone. Boring nonsense

Lyrebird
I have loved Ahern's books in the past so I thought I would give this book a go. The narrator was great at bringing the characters to life and I felt like I was there with Laura as she met and went through a whirlwind. I will recommend it to fans of Ahern.

Never really hit the mark
The story should have been good it had all the right elements but somehow it missed the mark. Didn't really connect with the characters and the story didnt enthralle me.

Interesting, wonderful, loved it!
I truly felt that I was immersed in the story and felt all the characters to be so real! It was so well written that I just couldn't stop listening! Aoife's narration was superb! How she can do so many different voices and accents amazed me and when she sang Gaga's song it brought a tear to my eye. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!!

beautiful story again by Cecelia.
Love Cecelia and this is no different. loving told by Aoife, beautiful accents, you can tell the difference in characters by the voice she makes for each. Not just a boring monotonous voice, Aofie uses her charm and knowledge of the characters to deliver a beautiful story.

Boring and frustrating
It's such a shame, but I hated this book. I usually love Celcelia's stories but this one was boring. I found the readers voice grating and so monotone that my mind would easily slip away from the story. I tried many times to find joy in it, but the story just didn't have that interesting twist. I don't find adultery entertaining and I lost all respect for the key characters as a result.

Interesting but a bit boring
Any additional comments?
I was disappointed by this book as I heard an interview on the radio by Cecelia Ahern about the Lyrebird and it sounded enchanting. Sorry to say it wasn't, I kept waiting for things to get going but it was very slow. There are some nice bits and it does make you think about how we all use social media and what it would be like without it.

So disappointed.
Good narration of a boring and bland story. I'm a fan of Cecelia Ahern and this is the first book I have not loved.
