A trip back to Pittsburgh to spend Thanksgiving with Vic's large, exuberant family means dodging old frenemies and a bitter ex-boyfriend. The books of this series are addictive reading. Add in Kale Williams narration and it lifts to a new level.
Vic and Simon are strong Mc’s the secondary characters are well fleshed out and add nicely to the overall story arc. Even though this is a between books novella it still has a deliciously bad bad guy and a satisfying conclusion.
Taps all my paranormal happy buttons.

The Woo Woo is strong in this one.

Another enjoyable story from the Badlands series. Vic and Simon’s relationship is getting stronger and they have moved in together and Vic has taken Simon to meet his family.

They are involved in another adventure where they have to destroy a demon who is working with a witch who takes advantage of people down on their luck and desperate who sell their souls for a year of good luck. As usual all Simon’s psychic friends help in taking down the bad guys and it is an entertaining read.
