Down to earth

I loved listening to Denise - she’s very natural and easy to listen to and felt like we were on a ‘call’ at times . Very practical tips, easy to understand and to action - I’ve also downloaded the work books to do the written side! If you’ve tried manifesting and not quite grasped it in some other complicated deliveries.

Not bad

Denise has a great story and some excellent advice. But the reading .. awful awful awful. She keeps chewing and swallowing quite loudly, as though she wanted to record this in a day and didn't care about the quality for the listener. Also it is unedited so there is a lot of pauses, repeating etc.
I won't buy her other books if she is the reader even though the content is quite motivational.

Poorly Edited Audiobook

I had high hopes for this book after reading the reviews, however I was pretty disappointed. Firstly, throughout the whole book there are frequent mistakes where Denise messes up her lines and starts over and they've not been edited out! This really takes the edge off the professional quality of this piece of content. She says herself in the book that you can't be a content creator and editor at the same time, and mistakes will reflect poorly on your brand, and yet this book clearly hasn't been listened to the whole way through before it was put online!

The first portion of the book was a bit of a hard listen. I wonder how many times she repeats 'honeymoon testers'... I appreciate that she is sharing her story and she openly says it is a chance for her to show off a bit, which she does. She has clearly worked hard to build an entire business off of the back of the competition so that's commendable.

The second half of the book has more practical tips about overcoming blocks that may be standing in your way of success. It is more inspiring than the first half for sure. Very disappointed that the free download on her website doesn't work either, another black mark.

Overall, some of the content is worth listening to, but that's if you can make it through the first half. The poor editing and broken download only make it worse. Very glad I didn't pay full price for this book. Probably wouldn't buy another of hers.

Big claim, poor content, repetitive, boring!

Struggling to finish. Especially after listening to some brilliant other books from Gabriel B. etc

Disappointed.

Female version of the Law of Attraction

I listened to Get Rich Lucky Bitch and loved it!I came across this one on my Audible and downloaded it.
This one is:
Exceptionally conversational like Get Rich Lucky Bitch. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this too. It Offers sound advice, tips and exercises to do to attract wealth and health into your life. I highly recommend this to all women. Denise includes her own experiences with attracting more into her life to engage with her readers. I would listen to this again and again to keep her advice to the front of my mind.

Felt like it was a draft recording

The book and general themes were very good and motivating, but there were several mistakes in the recording, including repeated sentences after she made a mistake etc. Felt like an unedited draft of the recording.

Great advice, motivational

I see many reviews saying how it was ‘unprofessional’ and not edited well. I think it shows her personality and how human she is, we all make mistakes and no one is perfect, good on ya Denise, it made me feel at ease. I love reading books on personal development and Denise is down to earth and met my need for clarity when practicing the law of attraction.

Great Info, Poor Performance

What did you love best about Lucky Bitch?

I loved Denise' energy and her story is really fantastic. She does give you a great deal of information on manifesting and getting rid of mind blocks. I found all the information helpful.

Would you be willing to try another book from Denise Duffield-Thomas? Why or why not?

I absolutely would.

Would you be willing to try another one of Denise Duffield-Thomas’s performances?

I absolutely would not. Often Denise sounded conversational, but at times it was so casual that I felt like she was just talking from an outline.
And then, every now and then, there would be a point where she'd catch her self in a speaking error, pause, and then start talking again. Which made me feel like the entire audiobook had not been edited. I might be a little picky about this, but it made the publication seem less professional to me.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Stay the course and don't give up.

Great content but maybe it was the in-edited version?

I enjoyed the. Ok. It had some great thoughts in it but there were about a dozen or so times that the author made a mistake reading it. She would pause then begin again and it was odd. Was the wrong version released?

Not edited well, but still good

I love Denise’s message but someone overlooked the fact that no one edited this, which I’ve encountered on other listening platforms, but never audible. I kind of would have expected audible to have a more professional editing radar. There are many times in the book where Denise messes up what she’s saying (which I forgive her for, of course... we are all human!) but then big chunks of the audio are repeated as she is re-recording the section.

However, her message is beautiful and I really respect the the content she shares!

Awesome Book, but Recording Un-edited

Loved this book so much, but, I just don't understand why the audio wasn't edited. She stops and starts multiple times as if the plan was to go back and edit, but, the gaffs are just left in. Strange.

Too wordy, too many repeats

The idea behind the book is good. But it has been delivered more successfully by other authors. In this book, there is just too much self-adoration and not enough substance, unfortunately. I wish I could say that I enjoyed the book and learned a lot of new things from it but this is not the case.

needs editing

I think the content is informative and the author/narrator is very animated, however there are multiple times where the narrator would screw up and repeat herself which should be edited out.

Just needs some editing

I love Denise DT and Get Rich Lucky Bitch is one of my favorite audio books. My main complaint here is that the audio doesn't seem to be edited. There are a few spots where Denise pauses and then restarts a sentence/phrase. That really takes the momentum out and it seems like it would have been easy enough to fix.

Great book!!!!

Great book. Even though the content is great. You need to review the edition, it has a lot of errors.

Real expert advise and tools that work!

I was intrigued by her story and how she overcame beliefs. As an expert in manifestation and mindset, I found her perspective refreshing, real, and extremely helpful. She has a great take on money and achieving wealth, she did it quite normally. Denise teaches in a way that is practical and entertaining-which kept me interested. I have listened to both of her books....and going back to listen again!

I couldn't stop listening.

I love this book. I have a library of about 100 books on various subjects in self improvement and while I enjoy listening to all, this is the first book that I couldn't stop till the end. I love how Denise goes into detail when describing her process, including what she says, how she feels and what she gets from the experience. So many authors will tell you to do something, but often skip on the steps leaving you with superficial information. Yes, there were a few blips in editing but nothing that would stop me from listening to this book over and over again.
