Summary
Independent woman to her core, Brooke Archer has always been happy to hit it and quit it with the men in her life. But when her beloved nan suffers from poor health, Brooke realizes just how precious life is and decides it’s time to face her daddy issues and seek out her estranged father.
Without so much as a name or photo and a cagey mum withholding vital information, it’s going to be no easy task.
Nicholas Parker is a relationship guy and always has been. Abandoned by his mum when he was seven, he craves love and security. But finding a woman who can conquer his trust issues is no easy feat.
Brooke is exactly the kind of woman he doesn’t need.
Pulled together by some invisible force, can Brooke and Nicholas overcome their differences to uncover true love?

Not as good as the first but still entertaining
This is the second in the series but could be read as a stand-alone - I listened to the audio version and have to say I didn’t enjoy the narration as much as with the first one. While the story is as light-hearted, naughty and easy going as the first one the posh narration didn’t quite gel with the character’s supposed background for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it enough to listen all the way through in one go and move onto the third in the series immediately.

Love it
Another great audio by this author. These are always full of fun and mischief and have very relatable characters which I loved although it appears I listened to book three before book two lol. I love this gang of friends and their stories as it brings up some really good memories for me from friends over the years.

Uncovering The Layers of Love in Brighton
Love Uncovered: Babes of Brighton, Book 2
I thoroughly enjoyed the light heartedness of Love Uncovered. Brooke and Tom are so human! They judge, make assumptions...sometimes wrong and they enjoy each other.
Laura Barnard had me laughing out loud so many times and had me wanting to throttle someone at other times.
The narration by Teresa-May Whittaker was fun and easy to listen to.
My favorite Laura Barnard book.

smh at Brooke
Can you say drama llama=Brooke!! What a loose emotional wreck Brooke is, and Nic is the protective safe place Brooke doesn't know she needs and can't live without. I loved Nic and feel he was greatly misunderstood. Whether Brooke admits she wants him or not, he's basically steadfast and supportive. Brooke appeared like a slag, but projected that onto an innocent Nic. smh!! I didn't like Brooke's lack of moral fiber. I don't see redemption for her dad either. He was selfish in his actions and had too many secrets for too long. He was unfair to Brooke and his "son". smh. The last book in the series was the best imo. Great ending and series. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Heartwarming!
This book is fuel for me. I love strong independent woman with self respect and that know what they don’t want on their life. Tom is sweet and careful but with a lot on his shoulders! But their personality and their attraction to each other is completely overwhelming! Love the narrators 😍😍
