About this listen

It’s 1942. Louise Pearlie, a young widow, has come to Washington, DC, to work as a clerk for the legendary OSS, the precursor to the CIA. Wondering if the reviewer who wrote the blurb has actually read this book. By chapter 7 I still had no clue what the actual point of this book is. The narrator is irritating with her syrupy voice and I gave up. Total waste of £7.99. Don’t bother
