Summary

Winning the lottery is a dream come true… isn’t it?

Susie Parmenter and her husband of almost 20 years, Peter, are lottery jackpot winners. They’ve been able to do everything they’ve ever dreamed of - quit their jobs, design and build their perfect home, buy expensive cars, travel the world… So why is Susie bored out of her mind? She thought being a lady of leisure would be amazing, but unfortunately the reality is far from amazing. How can she possibly tell anyone that, though?

Climbing the walls, sinking deeper into irritation and misery, Susie can’t see a way forward. But what she’s not betting on is that Peter has noticed his beloved wife isn’t happy. And he’s taken steps - drastic steps - to turn things around. But will they live to tell the tale?

Note: Lottery Losers was previously published in the Love Me Hard boxed set.

Lottery losers or winners? Listen and learn.

This is a quite enjoyable and very steamy story. It is a tale of how to deal with what one of the characters describes as a "first world problem." A married couple has won some incredible amount of money in the lottery, has bought everything they wanted and traveled all over the world. One spouse, Susie, is now bored. She is fortunate to have Peter, her husband and true partner in life, who comes up with his own plan to bring his wife out of her malaise. Complications follow.

I don't want to give away any spoilers beyond what's in the book description. This story was well written, though I noticed a few technical problems that probably wouldn't bother too many other people besides myself. It was a lot of fun to listen to, and I was really impressed with how loving (both emotionally and physically) the couple's relationship was. There are plot twists and surprises to keep things moving along.

Poppy Jay Fox did an excellent job with the narration and voices, and definitely added to my enjoyment of the whole production.

Great Read

Lottery Losers: A Steamy Romance Novella was a good quick read by Lucy Felthouse. Susie and Peter won the lottery jackpot and now have everything that they ever dreamed of. Susie finds that she's bored of her new leisure lifestyle. Peter decides to take a trip to bring back Susie's happiness. Unfortunately the trip doesn't go exactly as planned. I can't wait to read more by Lucy Felthouse.

A Married Couple Win The Lottery and Find Out What’s Important

Yes this is a steamy story, but it is also about a married couple who have won the lottery which changed their lives...but not all is perfect...their marriage is...but now what do you do why you no longer have goals and struggles?
A wonderful story as the couple, married with grown children aren’t looking outside their marriage for companionship or sexual satisfaction...a wonderful change from so many stories.
There is suspense, romance, love, and mystery...A narrator that does a fantastic job and keeps me interested in the entire story.

Good story idea; had trouble following on Audio

Lottery Losers is the story of a husband and wife who have grown restless and bored in their new lives. When the husband cooks up a secret plan to bring them back together things take some unexpected turns. I think this story is a good concept but in the Audio experience I had trouble tracking on some things so would have liked to have the book for reference. Overall I think it’s a good story but not one I’d read again.

STEADY AS SHE GOES

Nothing climatic here. A bored housewife (with money) gets a surprise vacation from her husband. The plane goes down on an island and they rough it a few days and do some soul searching and rekindling. It was an easy listen.
Good narration.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. My review is HONEST.
Applause for the effort.

Decent, quick listen...

Lottery Losers by Lucy Felthouse is a decent, quick listen, coming in at just over two hours. It's the story of Susie and Peter, recent lottery winners. Susie has become bored with life and Peter's lack of attention recently. Peter notices this and decides to take her away on a vacation. Unfortunately, things don't go as expected and their plane has to make and emergency landing. I don't want to give anything away since this is such a short listen, but I was just bored listening to this novella. It seemed like all Susie and Peter did after landing was have sex. I was hoping for a bit more of a plot.

Poppy Jay Fox did a good job narrating this novella. She handled both Susie and Peter's voices well and it was easy to follow along with her. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Good Listen

Susie and Peter has won the lottery and made all their dreams come true. Susie is bored because she has not found anything to do with her time. Peter takes her on an adventure to relieve her boredom but he is also in for a big surprise. The plane goes down and they must survive until they can find help. Good story.
