Summary

I have a secret.

A secret that chased me away from my home, my family, away from the only man I've ever loved.

I took that secret and pushed it down inside of me.

So far down, that it never had a chance of coming out.

That dirty little secret was like a seed. A seed that took root and grew to become a piece of me.

But what happens when that secret has finally outgrown me?

When its vines climb over every wall I have in place?

When it finally overfills that little spot inside of me that it's been buried in for so long now?

All secrets come out eventually.

I just hope mine doesn't destroy everyone I love.

🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

One of my favorite things to do is to go into a book blind. I started this book, knowing I was a fan of the author and narrator. They both blew me away! This book hooked me so fast, I literally could not put it down. You could feel the heat yet Lex fought and fought to keep her distance. Love will not be stopped! The writing, the characters, the amazing narration... I could not have asked for more. I couldn't help but love these characters.

Sarah Puckett has outdone herself. This is maybe her best narration to date. I absolutely loved it!

A really good second chance love story.

This was really good, I love Striker and Lex, the chemestry between them is so good, and their emotions toward each other are so intense that even 6 years apart couldn't erase everything they feel towards each other.

It has a good pace and you won't be able to stop listening, with some funny moments courtesy of young Lex and Striker. But it also has some frustrating ones specially with their parents. The secrets, the emotions, the regrets and the love made this a good book.

The narrattion by Sarah Pukett was so so good, she's really amazing at brining a story to life and this wasn't the exception.

Enjoyed the narration

Second chance romance full of emotional ups and downs. It took me a minute to warm up to this story and then I thought that it was just ok. So much angst and suspense was built up around this secret that made Lex leave home and when it was revealed I didn't think it was worth all the trouble that it caused.
I do think that the narrator did a good job of bringing the characters to life. She did good voices and emotions which kept the story flowing.

Sweet easy listen

I haven’t listened or read any KB Andrews before, and had no idea what the story was about. The story kept me guessing (my first guess was so wrong 😂)
Sarah Pucketts voice kept me listening (I am picky with voices and returned a few books because of them and not chosen others for the same reason) but listening to the book kept me company on 2 days of long car journeys.
The story had twists and turns so kept me intrigued, the characters were brought to life nicely by Sarah.
Altogether a nice easy listen 😊

teen love - to adult love.

It’s a heart wrenching and intense story about two people who get separated for all the wrong reasons. I think it has all the elements for a powerful love story.
I definitely recommend that a true romance lover should read this !!

Wow!!!

Losing a Piece of Me by KB Andrews has so many layers to it. The story is beautifully written, yet has heartache, redemption, love, family drama, and one incredible twist I never saw coming! I so enjoyed how the author tied the relationships and characters together. Sarah Puckett performed this book brilliantly! One could feel the shield of detachment that Lex tried to use on her family and friends. I really enjoyed how she was able to give the various characters distinguishable voices too. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator!

Sad and sweet

I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is a very emotional second chance novel with a very sweet ending.

I really liked the narration by Sarah Puckett. She has great voices and accents and her way of narration brought out how hurt Lex and Striker are. Her intonations were always on point and I was captivated even though the story wasn't my favourite.

The story simply wasn't what I had expected. For me it was lacking real drama and angst. The story flows nicely and a part of me of course loves the way everything gets resolved. However, I would have wished that the stakes had been higher, that the secret had been more serious and that the reason Lex left her home for a long time had been more profound.

Sweet love.

This sweet story of love thwarted and the quest to restore it, is beautifully performed by Sara Puckett. She brings warmth and heart to this story which stars two of the sweetest protagonists I have come across in a while. Lex and Striker are sympathetic and living individuals who are meant to be together and Sarah brings their journey lovingly to life.
