About this listen

This book is inspired by true events but is not a biography.

The truth is My Truth is not The Truth, and that's as honest as I can be. It's partially true, rather than painfully true, and I have possibly been economical with the truth, Your Honour.

Basically, I made this sh*t up...

While James Blunt's crimes against music are well-documented, he also has some stories that are not. In Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story, James reveals his most riotous anecdotes to date for your amusement - and his parents' horror - in this highly anticipated non-memoir.

From his questionable Norfolk roots, eccentric family, boarding school antics, misjudged military service, rise to music stardom and tour escapades, James delves into his (surprisingly) fascinating life to date. What do you do when your mother writes irate emails to the future prime minister defending your honour? What does it take to run a male escort agency? And why exactly should you refrain from crowd-surfing? Find out here, folks...

Were the stories in this book grossly exaggerated in an attempt to impress? Maybe. But one thing is for certain: you won't want to miss it.

James is often portrayed as the plumb gobbed , posh tank driver with a one hit wonder , but this book reveals the Truth .
A gritty and honest trawl through his entire life . From his early days of being abandoned by his parents , abuse at boarding school to his drug fulled hedonistic rock and roll lifestyle. James takes us through his who’s who of A list celebrities and his encounters with them all from Carrie fisher to his amazing chapter when he me Elizabeth Taylor. His life in the Army saving the world from the bad guys and beyond. All of this is told with that cheeky stiff upper lipped humour.
This man is a real national treasure. James proves in this book that you just can’t believe everything that is written about him .

The stories at the start seem a little absurd, but persevere and it’s well worth your time. A very eventful and interesting life story, whether you like him or not !

Very interesting & entertaining !

I thought it was a fantastic read, listen, the only problem with it too short.

I would highly recommend that you spend your credit on this. You won’t regret it, especially if you have any modicum of interest in James Blunt.
