Summary

Alexis Villiers's best friend, the Principe of the Debrek clan, is newly bonded to Amelia, and Alexis hasn’t felt so alone for centuries. No longer her leader’s closest confidante, Alexis has to face the ever growing longing she has for the Debrek housekeeper, Katie Brekman.

Katie is enjoying her new role as head housekeeper for the Debreks. All she has to worry about is the moody, bad tempered Alexis. Katie has no idea why Alexis dislikes her so much, or why she has refused to feed from her. Certainly Amelia's theory that Alexis is attracted to Katie couldn't possibly be true. Katie can’t imagine her showing any kind of emotion, let alone attraction.

When Katie is attacked amid a burgeoning vampire-witch war, Alexis is set to go against everything her clan believes in. Forced to face her longing for Katie, she is torn between opening her heart to a human and abandoning her clan when they need her the most.

All character made stupid decisions

I don’t write reviews and I love Jenny Frames work I have read/listened tit hem all except for Hunger for you. I tried to listen to HFY but I didn’t get far at all because that started off boring...and this book I thought would be better but it was also boring but a bit less so. What really got me was how idiotic all of the characters were (going into alleys by yourself at night and not getting in the same taxi as your fiend when you easily could have). Also towards the end I’m still wondering why She slipped out of the house when she knew a crazy vampire was after her and what was her reason...I guess Jenny wanted any plot device to make sure she turned into a vampire. Plus it was really obvious that that one vampire was a straight up pawn and was perfect for the taking. I’ll still read the next in the series but it just annoyed me that this book was so predictable and that all of the character made ridiculous choices...I liked her werewolf series more.

Spicy!

I have read all of Ms Frame’s novels and adore them! I love her representation of butch/femme relationships and characters that are masculine of center/non-binary. Her f/f relationships are realistic and multi-dimensional. This novel in particular seemed spicier than some of Ms Frame’s earlier novels. I needed a cold shower to cool me down in parts of it! Highly recommend.

Jenny Frame continues this captivating tale with a brilliant narrator!

I loved the previous book and preordered this one on kindle. I wasn’t feeling up to reading so, I purchased the audiobook. I’m so glad I listened to this book. The narrator goes beyond simple narration and truly performs this book. The characters are well developed. It’s was a pleasure to see the characters expanded on in such a way that fleshes out the clan members. A steamy cat and mouse romance with Alexis & Kate in addition to exploring Amelia’s biological roots. It’s fun, sexy, and well written you won’t regret it!

Can’t wait for next book

I’ve been waiting for book two after reading/listening to Hunger for You and was not disappointed! There were so many twists and turns and surprises that I couldn’t stop listening. Alexis and Katie’s story was so sweet. I can’t wait for book three!! There are so many unanswered questions 😀. I also enjoyed the narration! Great job!

Once bitten I should have been twice shy

I made the mistake of re listening to Hunger for You before I listened to this book. While the story is good I was disappointed with the narrator Keira Grace. She cannot do accents well, one in particular sounds more like an Indian accent than Scottish. It was the same with ‘Someone to Love’ hence my mistake of re listening to book one first and why I should have been twice shy.

Narrator hurt the story.

I listened to (Hunger for you)the first book in this series four times. When Longing for You became available I was excited but immediately disappointed. Excited to learn the book was on audio but disappointed to learn who the narrator wasn’t. In book one Nicola Victoria Vincent was amazing. She had the characters and voices perfected. She made the characters sing and the story fly. Unfortunately, in book two Kira Grace just didn’t make the cut for me. Her accents were somewhat acceptable but she confused them at times. In one moment Amella was speaking with an English accent then another moment it was Scottish. Byron didn’t sound as powerful in this audio book as she was in the first book. Some characters just didn’t have accents which seemed odd. The story is ‘ok’. The narrator was, meh.

Oh!?!

Oh Ms. Jenny Frame, what an ending! And how long must we wait for your next book? Soon!?! Please!?! I enjoyed this book, throughly. It is exciting and sexy. Wanting more! I loved getting to know Alexis and Katie, plus having more background about Byron and Amelia was wonderful. The turbulence and spice in these character’s lives is keeps me reading and desiring more. Keira Grace does a spectacular job bringing the story to life! Definitely recommend.
