Summary
A program that will change your entire perspective on life
In 2017, Sounds True launched the first-ever online course with Michael A. Singer, the best-selling author of The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment. This course has been one of our most well-received - and for good reason. The program features eight profound and inspiring all-new sessions drawn from Singer’s 50 years as a spiritual teacher (and a highly successful business entrepreneur).
Now available on CD or as a digital download, Living from a Place of Surrender brings you the same perspective-shifting, spiritually liberating teaching sessions for letting go of stress and fear and aligning with the flow of life in the moment.
Here’s what the author has to say about the program:
"Dear friends,
In case you haven’t noticed, you have a mental dialogue going on inside your head that never stops.
This is the opening sentence of my book, The Untethered Soul. Since its publication in 2007, I’ve been inundated with questions about why that inner voice is always talking, why so much of what it says is negative and stressful, and most importantly, how you free yourself from it.
In this course, we will put to rest any questions you have about that inner dialogue. Not just about quieting it down - but about how to steadily remove the root cause of its existence.
One of the greatest lessons you will learn here is that trying to achieve happiness by "getting what you want" is actually limiting your happiness. You end up struggling with life instead of experiencing it. True happiness comes only when your inner energy is free to flow. That unhampered flow is, indeed, the goal of this course.
We will see that the most effective personal growth technique is to use life to remove your inner blockages, not compensate for them.
In this course, you’ll learn about your true relationship to the world unfolding around you and to the thoughts and emotions arising within you. But most importantly, you will come into touch with the real "you" - the indwelling consciousness that is witnessing it all.
The intention of this course is to change your entire perspective of life. Every session will challenge you to go beyond yourself.
With great love and respect,
Michael A. Singer"

Excellent but...
Everything he says in this is very true and very helpful but he does this thing where he talks down to you for not knowing how to manage negative experiences at 11yrs and not reading the manual for how to use your mind which you were given at birth. It really ruins what is otherwise an excellent course, just feel like making your readers feel stupid for not understanding how to do this sooner a bad teaching style

Prepare to be ridiculed
The content is great, really thought provoking and interesting, but the way he speaks to his audience is a bit condescending to say the least. He comes from a place of everyone being less evolved then himself. By his own admission he says he uses shock tactics to make people learn, but there are ways to do this without insulting people. Started of a very promising book, but his tone really ruined it.

Wonderful and many aha moments
I disagree that he "talks down" to the listener as other reviewers have felt. I guess it's a matter of perception. I really enjoyed this and he explained away so many issues. I can't wait to attain his level of joy! I will definitely listen again as I am sure there's things I missed. He also describes a simple way to get rid of bottled up issues and emotions. Surprisingly awful unfocused rambling
Given how amazing Michaels books are this product is dreadful
I think it’s the audiotape of a live video course And it kind of doesn’t work in fact in audio alone ... the author doesn’t come across as compassionate and thoughtful as he does in his books ... he often sounds impatient critical and arrogant which is quite odd given how he’s presented in his other work.
It sounds like he is having a lot of fun as he talks which is great and if we could see him we’d probably receive his energy much more clearly and cleanly
It seems that sounds true have created this for money rather than actual value ..
it’s surprisingly disappointing
I love Michaels other books and recommend those with five stars

The right hear at the right now
After reading some of the other reviews I was sceptical about listening to the book. I was a bit put off reading that it was delivered in a condescending manner. I'm glad that I didn't listen to the voice in my head which by the way is one of the points of the book. I found Michaels delivery to be quirky but fun, I just think he really comes from a place of love and he wants you to "Get it". I listened to the book a few times as it's pretty deep and I'm glad I did. Each time I was hearing what I needed to hear at the moment. For me at least a fantastic listen.

This book is enough... but take your time with it.
I have over 65 books in my Audible Library, most are on similar subjects to this one. Most of them were phenomenal and changed my life. This is the first time I'm leaving a review ever, and here’s why:
I own all of Mickey’s books and (thankfully) I'm close enough to be able to regularly attend his talks at the temple in Gainesville FL.
I have to say though, for anyone starting out on this journey or even as experienced as I am, if you have to listen to one book, please let it be this one. It is truly the A-Z of spirituality. Mickey delivery is just like his talks, nothing is scripted, totally off the cuff and he maintains his sense of humor all through. Just brilliant delivery.
One tip though... don’t listen to this all at once. Listen, then take time to consider what you just heard. That break in between allows it to sink in. Your soul will recognize these truths. Trust it.
Thank you Mickey as always for sharing.

life changing!
I hesitated to listen to this book. I love two other very popular books written by Michael Singer. I read the reviews before I downloaded it looking for one view in particular. That view was that it was just a combination of his other books, nothing new gained, basically a rewrite like what is so common among authors who write best sellers. I saw no such commentary so I bought it. If you're wondering what I was wondering, put those concerns aside. As much as I love Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment, and always will, this one actually far surpasses them both as far as the practicality it provides for taking a spiritual journey. I believe my path collided with finding this book by a divine call. Maybe that's the case for you. After listening to it, my eyes are so open, the cleansing has begun and tomorrow being Monday and I, finding myself in the middle of a very big, frustrating issue at work my approach to it is now completely different. I see it was me and my stuff I've held on to for years leading the way. Friday I had my mind set on handing it completely different, heads were going to roll. Now I feel only understanding for all involved. There was quite a few tears shed between the two attitudes though so if you're really serious about confronting your junk, it may not be fun but this book is for you. You will understand how to rise above everything and be free and completely filled with joy. Thank you Mickey, you have forever changed me.

Truly a lecture, sometimes a scolding
I enjoy Michael’s message when I read his books. But listening to him as the narrator is exhausting. He is frustratingly trying to convince you you his point is right! Understand? Get it? His tone is stressful and often speaks so fast that you can’t understand what he is saying. Other times when he is calm and speaks clearly his message comes across beautifully. When you are the reader you don’t have the distraction of his hyperness. I will stick with you Michael, but with me as the narrator! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Pompous author narration
There were a few new tips and ideas added to this book, Michael Singer (Author/Narrator) has a serious habit of "talking Down" to his listeners and students. It was truly unbearable to listen to his repeated, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND" and "IT'S REDICULOUS, COME ON, ARE YOU KIDDING ME"... Over and over after every sentence. I feel I MUST ADD, his book "UNTETHERED SOUL" was a total life changing book for me for the absolute better!!! Even his narration of that was so much better!!!... I don't like to read, but I love audio books but this one was terrible.

so disappointing
I like his first book and had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it really doesn't deliver. It should be named, How You Are Not Living from a Place of Surrender. The book is 90% description of the problem and 10% solution. Spoiler alert, the solution is to relax and let it go. There is no advice about how to do this, no steps, or practices, no details about the process. He equates it to quitting smoking. To quit smoking, just don't smoke, it's that simple. So to recover from your issues and live from a more peaceful and centered place, just let go of your issues.
Yes, he is annoying and spends far too much time giggling about your problems and telling you how sad he feels for you. But I could easily have tolerated that is he also offered anything helpful.
I wish I hadn't wasted the credit or the time.

My World is Supporting Me With This Practice
As I listen to this book and let myself be guided, I realize, by little signs throughout my day that this is exactly where I am supposed to be to heal my heart and soul.
Thank you Mickey for providing me with your guidance. The work is simple and also profound. I heard you, “Be here now.” In gratitude.
