Story
Twenty-three years ago, a young girl went missing. Two days later her body was found lodged beneath the footbridge over Boulder Creek. The murder shook the town but they soon found it was only the beginning. A serial killer hides among them - a serial killer who strikes twice, sometimes three times a year. Mason Cooper couldn’t wait to leave Gillette Park. At 18, she headed off to college and the bright lights of Los Angeles, thinking she'd never return home to the broken family and forgotten friendships she'd left behind.

Story
Jana Fleischer loves her life - wonderful family, best sister in the world, awesome soon to be sister-in-law, fabulous job, and a never-ending stream of men to chew through and spit out. So what if everyone says she’s too picky and she’s never had a real relationship? When a chance meeting with Brooke Donnelly leaves Jana literally and figuratively off-balance, it doesn’t take long for her initial annoyance to turn into the first sparks of friendship.

Story
Workaholic Erin Ryder was on the fast track to self-destruction. Reeling after her lover walked out on her, she turned to booze and caffeine to make it through each day. After a family intervention, she finds herself on a remote ranch in New Mexico - on womyn’s land - to detox and heal. No cell service, no internet - she’s convinced she won’t last three days, much less for the three-month sentence her father has mandated.

Story
Investigative reporter Marty Edwards has found her niche: cold cases. She loves poring over old notes, hunting down long-forgotten witnesses, and digging down through the layers of an unsolved murder case. But this time, Marty is digging where someone obviously doesn't want her. And that someone might also include the Brownsville Police Department. Why else would they assign Detective Kristen Bailey to baby-sit her? Barely surviving two attempts on her life, Marty abandons Brownsville and the case. Danger follows her as the case turns red-hot.

Good Mystery/Bad Love Scenes
I liked the mystery, although stupid at times. Love scenes get an "R" rating...could had been so much more...author starts to go there, then...poof...use your imagination. ..ugh

Loved it
Erin’s books are wonderful. I love her characters and the the twists and turns her stories have as well as the romance between them. I love that they are so committed to each other. Victoria has an amazing quality of bringing them all to life and does it with a very sensual voice

Awesome listen! Nice mystery/love story
This is my second Erin Wade audiobook and I've loved them both. "Living Two Lives" kept me guessing as the story unfolded and cast doubt on characters. I found myself trying to figure out the murder of the famous writer before her granddaughter and police could solve it. Very well written. good suspenseful story with a twist ending. wish the sex scenes were more detailed... narrator was good.

overall good
excellent narration, good plot. I just had a hard time with the car bomb. Throughout, the main characters came through as intelligent rational before the blast. After, no concern over a car bomb? No added security, vehicle inspections bodyguard? Very hard to swallow, in part because of how well the rest was written.
