About this listen
A collection of three short mystery stories by Amazon international best-selling author Judy Penz Sheluk.
Death and deception: Appearances are often deceiving and that is the underlying premise in this collection of short crime fiction.
In "Live Free or Die" naive 21-year-old Emmy falls hard for 31-year-old Jack, an efficiency expert from New Hampshire who is not all what he seems.
In "Murder in the Marsh" cyclist Carrie Anne Camack discovers more than she bargained for in the fertile farmlands of Ontario's Holland Marsh.
In the final story, "The Cycopaths", a triathlon team's open-water swim training in Collingwood, Ontario, has deadly consequences.

Delightful Short Crime Stories
Each is a very well crafted, wonderfully narrated, crime story that entertains the listener. The characters are brought to life effortlessly with nice descriptions and concise dialog. Not a word wasted. Highly recommended.

Short but Intense
These three stories are super short but they easily pack a punch. Each one is separate from the other, but they are exceptionally well written for as short as they are. We don't really get the opportunity to know the characters like we do in the author's other writing; however, the characters in these short stories are oddly captivating. In one story we get devious manipulative characters while another we get competitive psychopaths. I enjoyed each story and my only complaint is that I wish they were longer!
This narrator did a great job on these three short story performances.

Plan the work and work the plan.
Three well written short stories each told in the first lerson and what they lack in length, they certainly make up for in intrigue. From the tale of a betraying boyfriend to preparations for the triathlon, each story has a twist.
Skillfully read by Kate Tyler, with good intonation and clarity, these stories are perfect to fill empty corners of the day. The titles included are:-
Live Free or Die
Murder in the Marsh
The Psychopaths.
My thanks to the rights holder of Live Free or Tri, who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy, via Audiobook Boom. It was a cleverly executed and fun read.

Very enjoyable Mystery Hour
Story:
Or better Stories, because the audiobook offers three mystery shorts:
"Live Free or Die" - my favourite of the lot. It's payday for a womanizer and I loved the twists at the end. The good ideas just kept coming. 5 stars
"Murder in the Marsh" - is my least favourite story. A woman, who goes cycling in the Marsh to train for an upcoming triathlon, makes a shocking discovery. Despite being well told, for me there's no oomph at the end. 3 stars
"The Cycopaths" - turned our to be a really nice story looking at competition and bitching in an all female sports group. As it is with mysteries, there are dire consequences for the Ladies in store. 4 stars
Narration:
Kate Tyler is the perfect narrator. She delivers the stories with a pleasant and clear voice and a twinkle in her eye. Loved it.
Overall:
A good and entertaining mystery hour (well, with 59 minutes it's nearly an hour), pefect to make a boring commute or the ironing of piles of laundry so much more pleasant.

Short Mysteries.
3nice short mystery stories. Well narrated by Kate Tyler who handled the different characters very well. Each is a self contained story and the ending is mostly surprising although they could all be open to interpretation, make your own mind up kind of thing. Well recommended read for an hour. *****

Short mysteries
I usually don't like short mysteries but this had a varity with different ending which I found surprising. Like any mystery it would have been great if they were longer but other than this it was an enjoyable listen and it went really quick.
