just finished listening, and the narration was fantastic, and the story kept me focused on what would come next. it's not my usual choice of story matter, but it was a great listen.

Im a big fan of the zombie genre so a book about a zombie with conciousness sounded like something i'd love, sadly this was not something i enjoyed reading. First of all it feelsl ike its aimed at teens with the way its written the language and simplistic descriptions, also the synopses gave hints of a possible cure for the outbreak or at least some deeper meaning to everything but absolutly nothing happens at all. its a short story with all the usual tropes zombies bring but there was a lack of anything deeper or any depth to any characters i found myself not caring about any of them and just wanted to get to the end thinking something would happen or a twist or something. The narrator also let this book down whilst her tone was fine she seems to pause every few words for no reason it almost stopped me listening in the end i had to increased the audio speed a decent amount to try and combat this bizarre pausing. Overall it might be enjoyable for teens but sadly not for adults and needed a lot more story and depth and a different narrator.

i really wanted to love this....
