Summary

The heart-hammering thriller from the queen of the London crime scene. A serial killer is being closely watched by one young boy. Barney knows the killer will strike again soon. The victim will be another boy, just like him. He will drain the body of blood, and leave it on a Thames beach. There will be no clues for detectives Dana Tulloch and Mark Joesbury to find. There will be no warning about who will be next. There will be no good reason for young policewoman Lacey Flint to become involved . . . And no chance that she can stay away.

Like This, For Ever is published as Lost in the US.

Can't stop listening.

This was a very unusual story, it was absolutely thrilling. Loved it didn't guess until near the end who was behind the killings. Well worth it

Just brilliant!

This may well be my favourite Lacey book so far, it is a very close call with the first one!

I really liked how we saw aftermath from the events of the previous book and how much Lacey was actually affected by them. We saw a very vulnerable side to her and I have a new-found huge respect for her. The ending in particular was very satisfying and showed a light at the end of the tunnel.

The main storyline was very, very well written and kept me guessing throughout. I changed my mind on who I thought did it several times and still ended up being wrong. Very clever.

Once again, brilliant performance from Lisa Coleman.

Looking forward to reading the next book, however I'll have a little break and read something slightly lighter first!

BRILLIANT !

Well read with plenty of twists and turns, each time I thought I had figured things out I soon realized I was wrong. Looking forward to next book in series.

By Sharon Bolton. Love this series, every story, never know which way it’s going - wonderful. Great storytelling on audible too.

Gripping story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to people who like crime/thrillers.

What other book might you compare Like This, For Ever to, and why?

If you have read any other of S J Boltons books you will love this just as much, and if you haven't....what are you waiting for? They're fantastic! She is up there with the best of crime writers in my opinion: her stand alones (Sacrifice, Blood Harvest etc) are probably my favourites but this series with Lacey Flint is easily one of my favourite reads: pacey and enough mini twists to keep you guessing.

Have you listened to any of Lisa Coleman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No I haven't but I do remember her as being an actress. She is a brilliant narrator and I would definitely check out other books narrated by her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not one that moved me, but the ending was a surprise, particulalry as I thought I had been clever and guessed early on. I like it when I'm proved wrong as it keeps it exciting.

Any additional comments?

Ideally read as the latest in the series (so far of 3) as some of the characters re-appear, but it's not absolutely necessary and could still be read on its own.

Another good story from Sharon Bolton

I love all the books in this series - the secretive Lacy who has so much baggage that life is pulling her down. - the sad child who is finding it difficult to find his place and the story of kidnapping and murder that surrounds and draws them both in.

Good but not brilliant

I really enjoyed the previous 2 Lacey Flint books but this one was quite up to same standard.
The Narrator is good but her London/Essex accent grated on me after a bit and seemed very false.
The story is good but didn’t grip me like other two
