"Gilmore Girls"-Star Lauren Graham ist unter die Autorinnen gegangen. Und ihr Debüt "Lieber jetzt, als irgendwann" trifft direkt ins Schwarze: Autobiografisch gefärbt, erzählt sie von Franny Banks, die es 1995 mit einer Menge Träumen im Kopf nach New York verschlägt. Der größte: Sie will Schauspielerin werden und den Durchbruch am Broadway schaffen. Aber aller Anfang ist schwer und auch das Gefühlschaos nicht weit. Großartig gelesen von Gilmore-Girls-Stimme Melanie Pukaß!
Summary
Franny Banks ist zwar ein bisschen chaotisch, aber vor allem witzig, charmant und klug - eigentlich müsste sie alle ihre Ziele erreichen können: Schauspielerin werden, den Durchbruch schaffen, einen Mann fürs Leben finden. Für den Notfall hat sie trotzdem einen Plan B: ihren langjährigen Freund Clark heiraten, Englisch-Lehrerin werden, in einen Vorort ziehen. Doch so langsam läuft ihr "Ultimatum zur Traumverwirklichung" ab. Als sich dann auch noch herausstellt, dass sogar Plan B geplatzt ist, muss Franny umdisponieren. Ihr neues Motto: Lieber jetzt als irgendwann.
