Melodramatic and sentimental

I preferred the digressions on Waterloo, the 1830 and 1848 Revolutions , the 1832 Paris riots to the actual story. One has to accept that people in the nineteenth century loved that kind of melodrama, though it is not my thing

what a book, amazing, really takes littrature to the top level - everyman and women should read this - you have not read classics if you have not read this book

un grand roman historique!

most beautiful roman I ever listened to. special compliment to mr. Voltz, who read the fifth book. Thanks to this young and talanted narrator, I felt totally involved, I cried and I laughed and felt all possible emotions of the book. unforgettable experience.

bon mélange entre "roman à suspens", tableau historique de l'époque. narrateurs d'exception. à écouter absolument
