Summary

The alligator had a good life, but his neighbor was a little a**hole. His neighbor just happened to be a squirrel. Not all squirrels are a**holes, but this one was. What was the poor alligator to do? He did what anybody would do: went into his garage and built a 60mm machine-gun, a flamethrower, and a grenade launcher, with which to deal with the problem. Then, suddenly, things got crazy.

This was a delightful, over the top, story, but if you think of it as an adult fairy tale and then compare to what children's fairy tales are like, it is exactly as described. There were points where I rolled my eyes, laughed out loud and chuckled in between. It's a very quick read at just over an hour and well worth the time if you want something funny and a little out there.

Noah DeBiase does a great job with the narration and adds sound effects that add to the humor of the written piece. I'm sure that I laughed harder with the sound effects adding to the mood of the story than I would have without them.

Oh, and if ever there is an actual show on Animal Planet (AP) depicting these characters, I'll surely watch it, too.

I received a free copy of this audio book for my unbiased review. The opinions here are entirely my own.

Not Your Average Fairy Tale!

Legend of the A**hole Squirrel: Adult Fairy Tales, Book 1. Written by Seth Chambers is a wild and wacky adult fairy tale. With the caveat that not all squirrels are a**hole but in this story, the starring little treerat is one. With his chitter chitter as he mocks his fellow creatures. You have to like an Alligator wearing sunglasses who can build a 60mm machine-gun, a flamethrower, and a grenade launcher. Mr. Gator also rides a Harley Davidson Fatboy so you know things will get real for the squirrel at some point in the story with an enemy like the gator.

The story holds the listener's attention with its tongue in cheek humor and jokes. The entire audiobook only runs 1 hour and 12 minutes. I could have easily listened to more from this author about these characters. The narration is provided by Noah DeBiase. Mr. DeBiase brought a strong skilled vocal quality to this audio production. The sounds effects and sound engineering really enhanced the overall production. This created a one truly amazing audio performance. The production quality of this audiobook is also the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Seth Chambers delivered an excellent audiobook production. I highly recommend this audiobook. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Chitter, chitter, chitter...

I love this bad a-- squirrel. The sound effects and music included in this short story keep the book fresh and exciting. Never before have I listened to an audiobook such as this one. Course language, violence and every possible tool of mass destruction is mentioned in this story. Clever, creative and the narration top rate.
Would love to listen to more by this author.

The narrator made it more enjoyable

The highlight of this book was the narrator and his sound effects. The story was alright but I don’t think it would be a good listen without all sound effects that were used.
