Learnt so much about elephants. Didn't see the twist coming, and in fact had to go back over it three times!

Good story. Kept me interested. Sometimes a bit more detail than I wanted which seemed to slow the process of the story a bit and kept me wanting to skip a bit of narration at times.
Interesting twist working out that Virgil and co we're ghosts!

There were times when I wanted to give up on this book. The initial chapters involving Alice were too long and drawn out. I like elephants but at times it was hard to decide what direction this was taking, however the last third picked up and the ending was great.

Oh my lord! This book sucks you right in from the start! From the vast Elephant facts and descriptions of Africa to the heart breaking search for Jenna's mother this story has you gripped!!
You grow to love elephants in a way you never thought you would.
And then there's The shocking twist!! Everything you thought u knew is turned on it head and then the heartbreak sets in.
Brilliantly written! Well done Jodi Picoult, you've done it again!
