Summary

After Lea is given a sunflower seed by her teacher, she becomes disappointed when all the other seeds planted by her classmates begin to grow, but not hers. Then, suddenly, the sunflower starts to grow, but this is no ordinary sunflower. This sunflower is not just any sunflower. This is a magical sunflower.

Out biggest achievement as parents is our kids, and every parent wants their child to learn, discover, and explore new things. Imagination is a big part of the way we learn and achieve. Lea’s Magic Sunflower story is about a little girl who is about to discover that amazing things can happen when you plant a seed and watch it grow.

This magical story is both written and narrated by Ann Twigg. It was written for her granddaughter, who was trying her best to grow a sunflower and who kept measuring it to see how tall it had grown.

It’s important that children learn about nature and how to look after living things. By looking after plants, children can learn cognitive skills; build self-confidence; and, best of all, be outside playing, getting dirty, digging, using creativity, and watching things grow.

This is a lovely audiobook and a magical and exciting listening experience.

Help your child learn new skills through imagination and play. Buy now to get started today.

The best things are worth waiting for!

Lea is taking part in a sunflower growing competition at her school but is very disappointed to find that her sunflower seeds are not growing like everyone else's. But Lea must learn to be patient, something very exciting is happening, her sunflower has magical powers! A wonderful story which teaches young children the importance of being patient and helps inspires a love of gardening.

A great short story to be enjoyed anytime

Thus story can be enjoyed anywhere at anytime and develops an appreciation for the great outdoors.

Lea grows more and more impatient and disappointed when her sunflower doesn’t appear to be growing but this is no ordinary sunflower! It’s delay is deserved as it’s worth the wait and bring her fame and happiness.

My kids liked the fact that the sunflower smiled at her and loved its magical powers. This could be used to develop children’s writing as they creatively decide which flowers have which powers.

It’s read well with Ann Twigg’s soothing, gentle voice. It’s perfectly pace and the plot develops well and is quite realistic and down to earth for a children’s book.

A charming tale

I have listened to this story with my 4 year old daughter and she keeps asking to hear it again. It's a lovely story promoting kindness and decent values which was a delight to hear from start to finish. I will be looking for more tales from this author.

Very Enjoyable and Magical Story

We really enjoyed listening to this book. My daughters age 6 and 7 (almost 8) years liked how the story was told and they said they could imagine it all in their heads clearly. They really liked that it was about a sunflowers as they are busy growing their own sunflowers at the moment. The characters were lovely and my girls liked the yorkshire accent. We listened to it on 1.5 speed as it seemed so slow on the 1 speed. The 1.5 speed was perfect for us. My girls gave this a big thumbs up and would enjoy listening to this again at bedtime.

Great adventure book for children

My boys loved this story, they are 5 and 8 years old. They particularly like listening to the story through then echo just before bedtime.

It’s gives me enough time to clear up there roll a little before putting them to bed :-)

Tom gets washed up on an island and soon finds out that he is not alone and finds out they island is inhabited by robots.
At first he is a little scared, but soon finds out that they want to be friends with him.
