A six sigma advertisement

No detail on value stream mapping as a process is or exercise. If you remove the words six sigma it would be half the length

Solid overview

This, in general, is a very well written book. This was a very good book on understanding the importance of modeling and communicating clearly to those in the organization. It also gives a solid understanding of value stream mapping and surrounding processes.

this book is a good place to start

It is definitely one of those books that everyone doing this work will want to own. It fills the gap that still existed for those of us who are in the service industry!Useful as an introduction to VSM mainly focused on service industries not for experienced people.

practical and useful data

This book will allow its readers to perceive what Lean is truly about. In addition this book will allow us to take in more about what Lean manufacturing and administration is, and how we can best join it with a portion of the thoughts from Six Sigma.

I just paid for a sales pitch

I expected to learn about value stream mapping. this was just about selling six sigma, not teaching a methodology. I stopped half-way and skimmed through the rest in hope for content.

I love lo listen about Lean and six Sigma but...

This book is a complete waste of your time, please save 53 minutes reading an actual boog of VSM, it is a simplified guide but still useless. there is no guide at all.

Sorry for wasted my money

Complete waste of money

I don't normally write reviews, but this book is so bad I felt I had to. This is a complete waste of money - poorly written, poorly narrated, and complete devoid of meaningful content.

Disappointing

This is essentially an infomercial for Lean Six Sigma. The book does not address value stream mapping as suggested in the title. The book is mostly composed of truisms and generalities. An interested reader would have to resort to at least one other work to actually implement any part of Six Sigma.
